My name is Derek, Native Texan, Okie by association who now lives in the Music City. I have a relatively boring job, however I get to visit some very nice places. I spend most of my time working in manufacturing facilities around the country. These cities are not often vacation hot spots, but most of the time there is something new to experience.
My first day in Peru is really a period of about 50 hours but since I didn’t sleep (or change clothes) it counts as one day. I am pretty sure I am going through a quarter life crisis . The facts all are there, trips, sports cars ect….. Lately I have really enjoyed branching out of my comfort both socially and professionally. This trip is defiantly a example of that….. Anyway so far the trip has gone surprising smooth. The only issue I have had is the language barrier. No body outside of the hostel admits to speaking English but I have been able to get by through pointing and talking very slowly.
