Edinburgh, Scotland Andrew,
I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to Edinburgh Castle. The pictures are amazing, the landscape is so beautiful. I enjoy reading your blogs and look forward to visiting in the spring. Love, Mom
The Royal Mile & Authors Seat Andrew, I like the Royal Mile very Scottish & Authors Seat is spectacular, Beautiful stone work. Nice colors,
thanks for the blog and pictures
Kyoto Truly remarkable. The palaces, gardens, and architecture illustrate a very serene environment enriched with history. It must have been a breath of fresh air from the growing moderization of Japan today. Also, it is interesting to see how much religion is integrated in the culture. I read that the United States had considered targetting Kyoto with the atomic bomb because it was a major intellectual center. Luckily, today it is preserved and much of it's history remains intact.
Amazing I really enjoyed reading the blog. It seems like you got a real feel for the history and all of the cultural elements that make the experience so unique. It must have been a great experience to see all the temples and monuments. The architecture is really interesting. Also, That's funny that the deers eat anything they can.
Konnichi-wa!! Genki des. Nice to hear from you. I am having an awesome time; it is amazing to see another culture different from our own. I am picking up a few phrases and learning about the dos and don'ts of Japan. I actually registered for Japanese 1 for the fall to learn how to speak the language. One of the professors who came along teaches Japanese and I have gotten to know him. He actually lives in Kyoto during the summer and lives in MA during the school year. Can't wait to tell you more about it and thanks for the message. I hope Marcus had a great graduation; wish I could have been there. Sayonara!
Hi Andrew Andrew-san, konnichi-wa! Genki desu-ka? By now, you probably understand those words and more. We missed you in New England last week. I'm so glad that you are having such a great trip. My mother was raised in Iwakuni near Hiroshima. Your sensei has put together an awesome tour (you're getting to see and learn a lot). I can't wait to talk to see you again to talk about Japan. Have fun. Sayonara, Uncle Dale and Aunt Jane
Great Blog Hey, I got back from Egypt yesterday and wanted to let you know I enjoyed reading the blog. The variety of different foods look really interesting. The pic with you and the large fish is cool. Looking forward to seeing more.
Breathe deeply Andrew, breathe deeply of this experience. Be blessed in the knowing that there are great differences among God's children, but our hearts and longings are alike. Be blessed, and bless through your appreciation of this experience! May God go with you always, Katherine
