Enjoyed reading about your walking tour of Wr. Neustadt. I used to date a man from Wr. Neustadt and spent Christmas' and 2 or 3 summers there with his family. I have many happy memories from there.

1522 Stone
the stone that states "1522", is that the stone where those that opposed Ferdinand III are laid to rest? If it is, my oldest family link is laid there. His name is Hans Graf Stephan Schlagindweit. Please let me know if this is the place. I know that he opposed Ferdinand and was beheaded. This took place in 1522. He spoke out for the people who were oppressed. Thank you for any information. We ( me, my husband and son aged 11) stayed in gryon for a week a couple of years ago, we had a great time, walking and chilling. Enjoyedit so much we are going agian in a coupel of weeks. Good to hear other people enjoy the place
