did u survive NYE in key west, that would be a job, susan and i r at topsail, a little colder here about 30 today, wind blowing 30, we r heading back tomorrow to even colder weather, must b nice being where it is warm, last time i was in key west in January few years ago it was about 45-5o, windy, cold, didnt stay long, what kinda diving u applied for? glad u r having good time, later
webcam Go on at night and look for two boats next to each other with red green and blue lights up the mast. I'll be next to them and then you can zero in on it in the day. Or call me and see if I'm on the boat and I'll wave at you.
prop YUea I'm trying not to think about that. I'm thinking it it just out of line because it doesn't rattle at higher RPMS. I am going to try to align it next week. If it is a bent prop I don't know exactly what to do with it. Sounds expensive though.
shaft rattle The rattle could also be from the prop being bent slightly out of balance. Congrats on your trip. I'll have my diving gear when I get there so you wont have to hold your breath. You're not missing anything here. Its been cold and wet.
Florida Keys Congrats on your trip so far. Keep going south. watch out for the hard coral. Go snorkelling a lot.
I'll be down on January 1st and I'll have a jet boat and dive gear in tow.
I'll be in the keys by the new year! I just had my vacation request approved and I'm planning to be in Key largo by the morning of Jan.1
Lets hang out. Also keep me in mind if you have anything you need hauled down there.
good luck with your heat exchanger.

photos I just went back to see your photos -they are telling your story - it's interesting to see what's around you in photos as well as words. Wish you had a photo of black elvis! Great photo of you leaving port. I love the Ukrops grocery bag in the background of the elaborate dinner on board with your brother. The other photo I like is the one with a bike instead of a dingy on the back of the little sail boat.
jealous......... It sounds like you're having a great time Big Don! I would have loved to join you for the $3 pizza and drink deal. So where are pictures on here? You MUST have some???
cheap nights I wonder if the marina would let a van park for $10.60/day to use showers and laundry? That's way cheaper then camping in FL with pit toilets! If you rent a car check out Juniper Springs and other springs around Ocala to scuba or snorkel - it's beautiful clear water 20 + ft down.
St Agustine tomorrow We made pretty good time but got about four days behind by waiting out storms at anchor in Georgia. I'm heading to the Keys first and then decide on the Bahamas
The weather is better where you are We have just had three days of solid rain, then Sat. was cloudy and only yesterday the sun was out. The weather yesterday could have been summer, but I doubt that anyone here was swimming or lounging by the pool.
You made the trip south more quickly than I had expected. But of course it is not over.
Are you going to the Bahamas?
almost there! Well, Don. You're almost there in FL! And it's probably a good thing because the nor'easter put the docks at the Salt Ponds under water. It was terrible yesterday!!! Just as bad as Isabel except I never lost power, TG. I do think it rained about 12-14 inches here because my fish pond is filled up again to overflowing.
Kilkenney Creek Yea Ted we bailed out in the creek one because it was looking pretty bleak and we were getting ready to go through St Catherines sound which is very open. And two my chart plotter for some reason will not connect to satalites whenit is raining and really cloudy at a time when I need it most. I thinkI have to download an update onto a memory card and load it into the plotter. We saw a few masts and checked it out on Skipper Bob's anchorages and ended up being this delapidated old marina run by this interesting old guy who we met when we dinghyed back to get ice. Then we found out there was a restaurant at a dock that had a shrimp boat tied to it. It looked dilapidated too and I thought ie would be run by an old couple and they would bring food out on the old family plated or something. When we got there it was a really nice place and we had a great meal witt wine and desert. Then we got back into our slikers and went out into the rain and wind intowone of the darkest nigthts I have ever seen to go abck to the boat.
