WOW! What a day. So needless to say I didn´t get much sleep in the Quito airport. There was construction, cleaning, and music being blasted all night. Neither I nor the other two ladies near me...and numerous other airport crashers got some sleep last night. I gave up on trying to catch some shut eye around 2:30am. I managed to roam around and twiddle my thumbs for about 2 hours until I could finally check in for my flight to Guayaquil. While I was waiting to board my flight, my name was called over the PA speaker. I went where I was asked and was told security wanted to open my bags. I am finally in Quito. The layover in Atlanta was not too bad. I had some tasty hummus and some chicken and then hopped on the plane to Quito. The flight wasn´t too bad. I was lucky enough to get an exit row seat so I had plenty of leg room...BUT there was an exit row behind me too which means I couldn´t recline my seat at all! It wasn´t too bad since it was a 737 with private touch screen TV monitors with plenty of movies and TV shows to choose from...it even had trivia that you could play against other passengers! I arrived into Quito around 10:30pm, right on time. Customs was a breeze since there were about 6 agents and just my small plane load (about 200).
