We took the train from Rome to Venice, a 4 hour ride. The trains were pretty nice, we rode in the first class car. We had pasta pomodoro in the bar car for lunch, it was MUCH cheaper than having the formal lunch in the restaurant car for 29 euro per person! We arrived in Venice and took the water bus to our hotel, the Facori Palace. It was a REALLY nice place, king bed, spacious room, jacuzzi tub in the bathroom...NICE! We got our hotel provided Venice map and headed out. There were Murano glass shops everywhere! We got a Christmas ornament to remember our trip by. We wandered around and got lost MANY times.
