Santorini photos
Once again - fabulous shots Dee ! Makes my painting hand buzz !!
I had thought you would be staying over there quite a bit longer. It was certainly a great trip - NZ always seems a lot further away when I fly back than when I left to go !!
Good to hear ........that you are having fun. Looking forward to hearing about it when you have time. So you are leaving Greece on Sat? The boys will be over the moon to see you again!
Thunder I know exactly what you mean - I experienced that kind of thunder in Zagreb - (during the war time ! )- and yes it does wake you with a start and you think "bombs!" Brisbane has similar thunder storms that come out of nowhere.
Being on your own can be a bit tough - there is nothing like sharing a trip with a friend - or partner, or as you did, with your brother. Most of those popular places do cater for the tourists because that is their big income especially for the locals - and when the tourists are gone things are quite different.
Santorini Just catching up with your Greek stint. Wow - sounds like you are having a load of fun and its a plus that its just as you expected it would be! Looking forward to your photos!
Pick up Sweet Dee - will see you @ Ch.Ch International Mon 9th Oct around 2pm (slightly thereafter post customs I would imagine).
Keep enjoying every day ...WAHOO !!
:-)
go > the motorbike gal ..wanna see a pic. Have been out cruzin on my Yam Virago 750 twin last 2 weekends as weather has been magic ...but would swap the Cantebury landscape for Greek Island landscape anyday.
GO YOU !!! be safe BUT have a rippa too :-)
Cats n dogs n smoke n zoomin traffic .... this is all just adding to the wonderful experiences travel gives you aye - priceless :). Be in every moment and commit to long term memory for all its worth.
.....roll on Santorini - WAHOO. You MUST guzzle some label of Ouzo before your leave Greece Dee
:-)
Grapes diet !^$!*)#!! skip the grapes and go straight to the cheap greek wine and drink buckets :) .. actually I think the Ouzo is way cheaper. You must to the compolsory breaking of a plate over your head > followed by an Ouzo chaser ! Enjoy
Last Swedish blog Hi Dee - know what you mean about scary roads - Zagreb was similar - trams and cars on the same track - an experience that takes some getting used to - also going around the arc de triomphe in Paris. Greece already ! You really are travelling around! Looking forward to reading your reports from there.
Whizz ..ig vehicles aye !. Nothing like pumping blood, checking a zillion times left and right. Good for the neck muscles - who needs a gym !!
Love the Public Art. My 2 Art Advsiors would adore these pics :-)
Did you get down to Malmo ?
Greece here you come - WAHOO !!
Some people are shoe fetishists, some are obviously window fetishists... :-) Good that we're all different!
The archipelago is a wonderful and peaceful place. Just a tram ride away and you're in a quiet relaxing environment!
(By the way, the Swedish word "bad" actually means "swimming place".)
Gothenburg Archipelago
What a contrast to the touristy hustle and bustle of Croatia - the peace sounds like heaven but must be very isolated in winter. I wonder how the wheelbarrow and bike-cart idea would catch on in Waiheke Island or Great Barrier ?!
More Dubrovnik Photos Hi Dee - You can see in these photos the old and - many - new roofs. I really loved the old ones for my paintings - did them several times - and many of these shots you've taken would make great painting material!!
Hey Des Actually you are right, it would have been much better with a partner to really showcase the Ceroc moves. Most of the guys I managed to get to do a little Ceroc with, rather quickly got over whelmed by it and didn't want to do it for long. I can totally understand that as I've been in that position myself. And of course it wouldn't have helped that they didn't understand what I was saying.
croatia here I come... it all sounds fantastic Dee..I was going to suggest in an earier comment that you needed a partner to showcase some ceroc moves for all those exuberant young people, but you clearly have no need for that!!! Keep up the fun ..
After 13 years of dreaming about it I am finally about to set sail for Santorini. Along the way I will catch up with my brother and take in Sweden and Croatia.... full info
