Wining and dining in Mendoza It was very interesting reading your about your experience in
wine country. My husband and I were there in 2005 and were
impressed with the quality of the wines. We have worked for
wineries in Napa Valley and were blown away with wineries like
Carlos Pulenta, Catena Zapata, Salientin, Clos de los Sieta, etc.
We ate and drank and ate and drank!
We will be returning with friends in late March 2007 and will
take some of your notes on some of the wines.
Thank you.. Gracias por venir a la Argentina!, enjoy the wine!, you´re always welcome!, saludos a su familia, I hope you'll back again some day in my country
Such a nice trip! I'm so glad and happy you guys had a nice trip.
Unfortunately I couldn't see you time but we'll do it next one for sure.
Thank you for trying the Malbec Obra Prima, it's a great Malbec from us!: comes from a 102 year-old vineyard (from my grandfather), 12 months in new French oak and lot of pasion and taste of the Cassones.
Come back soon.
Happy Anniversary !! I forgot to say this earlier while gushing about your trip... Happy Anniversary to two great friends. Your trip is an inspiration to us and we wish you many more happy years together!
Impressive! When I go on vacation, I get lazy... you guys take the time to document your travels and share the adventure... Thank you! Your friend Tamara wasn't by any chance Tamara Birkenheier, was it?... Probably not, but I thought I'd ask... small world and she is a great traveller!
Have fun and enjoy the wine! Looking forward to learning more with you both.
love,
karin
Anniversary Trip It is great to receive your blog and all that is going on. Some of the wines sound great, particularly the heavy (Dode) reds! You appear to be enjoying a wonderful, well needed holiday. The pictures are extremely interesting especially the narratives at the bottom. Bry, John says you were lucky not to be put in the "clink" for an hour or two!
Love Dode and BBJ
Happy 10 th Aniversary I can see that you are having a great time. It takes a lot of dedication to both drink the wine and maintain the blog. I do suppose that as the day goes on the blog will tend to deteriorate. I will be watching for signs of this!
As an aside, our company, Sherritt International, is doing most of the engineering for our latest project ($500 m US nickel refinery) in Santiago Chile. I will go there soon.

Happy 10th! Dear Joey and Bryan,
It's really wonderful that you could celebrate your anniversary like this. I hope you have a great time together and wish you many more happy years together.
Love,
Ron, Lynn, Kelly and Conor xoxo
ps Conor loved the Tarantula!
Veramonte Hi Jo-Anne and Bryan
Sounds like a great trip - just to note, Augustin Hunees, is no longer part of Constellation - while Veramonte is, he is now with Qunitessa only and planning new things from Latin America. I could be wrong but I believe that is the case now.
Man - your wine scores are tough - I have a bottle of Veramonte SB in the fridge - will taste and compare scores.
Welcome to our Travel Blog!
We are on our way to Chile and Argentina for our 10th wedding anniversary. We will spend 10 days exploring the best wineries and enjoying local culinary delights -- sipping and chewing our way from Santiago to Buenos Aires with a stop in Mendoza at the foot of the Andes.
We intend to update our Travel Blog daily with photos and describe our day. The tough part may be keeping the keyboard dry and wine-free!... full info
