David .... I just have to say that you did an awesome job documenting this trip. I really enjoyed reading your words every day and looking at the photos. I am so glad you guys had such a wonderful time - Rick hasn't stopped talking about it and the kids are glued to his every word. I am especially thankful for all of you staying safe and coming home in one piece. It really did appear to be that once-in-a-lifetime trip. Thank you again .... looking forward to the next one ! what a day... I guess the good news is, you had this not-so-good adventure towards the end of your trip, and not the beginning!

OMG, my poor brother! He's had such a bad couple days! Hope he's all dryed out & the bike makes it home with no more problems! David, thanks for taking care of him...it's nice to have good friends. A bottle of rum is waiting for you! Bill, I'll make you a nice home cooked meal when you get back - you deserve it! Can't wait to see you...only two more days!

Washington Blog the best yet
This was a great entry! I laughed out loud at the "Paradise" reference. I have friends who live in Seattle and they know about the cloudy vs. sunny side of the mountains. Live and learn, right? Re: Australia. If you were to "bike" (no motors!), I bet you could get our friend Ray to do that with you. Keep 'em coming, David. It's great reading.

Glad that you are finding our posts worthwhile. It's hard to keep quiet seeing pictures and hearing about your trip. I am so inspired -- to both retire and take a cross country trip on the bike. No one told me there was vodka at the end the rainbow! Woot. Thanks for including all of us on your magical mystery tour.
