Eloise's birthday
hi Lis and Dave, Eli had a great birthday. She asked me to thank you for hte card and present. It was in the mailbox when we checked after school. She had a very busy birthday. She played AFL in the girls school footy team all day. They won all thier games and are heading to Sydney in a month. Eli kicked 3 goals and came home with a black eye. She had some friends over after school and was exhausted when they all left at 6.30. The photos of Darwin are great. The races sound like a wonderful day. Which smurf did you go as? love Sal

Jim's birthday
hi Lis and DAve, sorry i haven't written for a while. Jim had a great birthday i htink. he said so anyway. great to see sarah and josh though they were both a bit "weary" from thier saturday night festivities. ben and nev went to sydney last thursday and firday for ben to run cross country. it was puring rain but hte race wen ton. ben came in 20th and he was very happy. nev had said he would give him $5 if he came in the top 20. eloise is counting down to her birthday. she just wants money! though jewellery, music, books and other treasures woudl be gratefuly accepted too i am sure. the kids got thier post cards and were most impressed. its always a thrill to get some real mail. enjoy darwin. talk again soon. sal

Alice Spings is lovely, was great to run into Fran & Penny in the Mall, hopefully we can catch up with them again on our way back. Just updating the blogs and then we will be getting organised to head north, Tennant Creek tomorrow then on to Katherine !

great to hear Eli had a lovely birthday. Hope that black eye has healed up. We are at Alice Springs and have started our trip home - it is a bit cool here and i will probably have to find a jumper in the morning :( See you all soon xxxx
