NOLA Jazz Festival Thoroughly enjoying your blog (while I should be working! But its is a slow Friday afternoon in summer). Next year, early May, we meet in New Orleans for the Jazz and Heritage Festival. Be there.
More info Hi - we were really pleased to read your message. We think the expert on the railways is Ingr. Werther Halarewicz. He wrote a chapter in a book called "Influencia Britanica en el Uruguay". Enjoy your trip - Montevideo is a great city.

Fantastic blog! My partner Guapo's grandfather also worked as an engineer on the railways in Uruguay - late 1800's I think it was! We're travelling to Montevideo in October. Loved your description.

Those persistent little coatis I remember seeing a gang of the little blighters hanging off the side of a picnic basket as the poor victims tried desperately to leave te picnic area. It wasn't certain who was going to end up keeping the basket. Eventually, the coatis gave up at the edge of the picnic area.
Thanks for posting these. It is the most beautiful place and we're so pleased to see it again via your videos.
Lots of love, V&M
