Hope it goes well Dad Hi Dad, hope the walk goes well, really want to meet up and see photos when you get back, and you can see how big I am getting with the baby. I think as you are loosing weight I am gaining it. Don't want to be as big as you but I understand that you are not so big now, well done on the weight loss. I expect you will loose more over the next 2 weeks. I see you planned your trip well to get back in time for World cup starting, didn't think you would miss that. Hope all goes really well, no blisters. See you when you get back, will keep looking here to see what you are doing.

Oh no! I read this at work and when I read that you had lost your rucksack I said "OHHH NOOOO" really loud! So glad you found it! No more time to write as people at work are 'looking'! Annabel x
Your poem! Wow Fancy Hancy I didn't know you were a secret poet! I loved it and it really spoke to me about the landscape in Corfu. Happy walking and hope it goes well - I'm writing this on your first day of walking. Love Annabel
Good luck Just to say good luck Shrek, enjoy every moment as you walk the trail, it was an great experience for me just wish i was walking with you.
Go mate ....Sweeney.
Did You Buy a Lottery Ticket? Dave this has got to be a good sign for your walk. Now I know the weather will improve on Corfu for you! I stayed in the Hotel Konstinoupolis for twelve days over Easter. Be aware that their Internet can be painfully slow and suddenly go down! David
Annabel, you are a babe. Thanks so much and good to hear from you; hope you are well. I even buy a cap with UPV or whatever protection. Get suncream today and off I go. Cannot wait to get walking. Thanks for supporting the donkeys.
Hurrah for Dave! Dave Hancy I wish you all the luck in the world for your masseeve walk! Have a great time, there's going to be some great scenery and lots of good healthy food too! Take care in the sun, use a hat please. I'll keep an eye on your blog over the coming days and straight after aftern I finish this I am visiting Corfu Donkey Rescue for a donation. Lots of love, Annabel
good luck mate Just to say have a great trip and enjoy every moment of the walk, I was lucky to have walked the trail a year or so ago and enjoyed every step.
Hope you raise loads of money for the donkeys.
Sweeney.
Cheers David, i've been training in sweat tops to be used to the body heating up but really am more concerned about rain. Even though the storms are great to watch in Corfu I dont fancy a soaking when walking and it will affect photos and if it comes late in my walk maybe prevent me getting up the top of Pantokrator. So I will be visiting St Spiriodon in Corfu town to ask for good weather!
Good On Yer Dave!! I'm greatly impressed! I'll be even more impressed when you complete the Trail!! I'm just hoping it doesn't turn really hot for you. 220 kilometres by paths and tracks and two mountains is a terrific challenge so just attempting it is brilliant in my book. Good fortune and congratulations in advance Dave for undertaking a great 'feat' for a terrific cause.
David
No problem.
Yes it may have been me heading up Pantokrator, i try to do this every year.
One year didn't drink/hydrate enough...then on the way down drank a couple of litres of water, ended up very sick and was told i nearly had water hypoxia.
Now sip a well know rehydration fluid when I am in Corfu on the bike.
Corfu Trail Hi Andy,
I have seen cyclists going up Pantokrator and admire their energy and ability to avoid the cars on the hairpins!! Thanks for your support
Go for it Iam a keen cyclist and one year did Land's End to John o@Groats.
I have tried running/walking during the winter and my god it's hard.
I cycle around the North of Corfu so I know it's going to be a real challenge.
So good luck to you in your adventure...I wish I could have joined you!!!
All the best and will be reading your updates with interest.

52 year old living and working in Buckinghamshire, England. Enjoy holidaying in Corfu. Was becoming a bit of a couch potato so booked to walk the Corfu Trail; not just to see the whole Island inside out but as motivation to take regular exercise and eat sensibly. I'm soon to depart and wish to share my journey and hopefully raise some money for Corfu Donkey Rescue. ... full info
