Trip of a lifetime - take two

Flying back to Europe and missing all the good bits seemed a little too boring for us. So after a "holiday" in Sumatra and some time to think we are now in Kathmandu in Nepal about to take the overland 'Silk Route' back to Europe.

It's approaching winter and we have the Himalayas to cross, not to mention Tibet, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. The roads are destined to be potholed and the visas and border crossings less than straight forward. This is a huge adventure and we're sure to see some amazing sights and meet some wonderful people along the way.

After 3 years in balmy Australia, we're not sure if we're ready for this, but we do now have a yak wool jumper! It's time to "rug up" and enjoy the ride!
