Wow!! OMG that few days trekking sounded a bit risky darling!! How did your knee and neck cope with it? You must have been bloody freezing at night!
Love reading your blog x
Fantastic How lovely to read of your travels. And what a wonderful trek. Good on you Dave for the cooking, at first anyway! I've just been to a Russian princess's house. Yesterday I went on my friend Kim's motorbike to Margate for afternoon tea, and on Saturday Nikki and I went to the Albert Hall to see Jeff Beck. Carole met us for a walk in the park beforehand. Not quite the Himalayas! I only have 8 months to go before I retire and look beyond the horizon.
much love to you both

Sunsets Hi both - I bet you're glad you didn't have your 'health check' at that hospital eh?!! Just got back from 10 days in Obidos - went by your house and all looks ok. The weather ws absolutely scorching - 42!!! on Saturday - you can imagine what Foz beach was like - we sat at the little cafe at the top of the hill with a cold cerveza (or 2!) watching the most stunning sunset! Back in Blighty, at work, raining! Boo!
Really enjoying your blog.....stay safe (and well) x x
Varanasi Hehehehe...! I am waiting for your comment about Varanasi..... You must be very strong to walk and visit the city of the Ganges River... Let me know about! Once again Amazing Indian experience!! Hope you will have time to visit Rajastan PUSKAR a must comercial exchange place in the Montains near Paquistan... Visit Sunset Coffee (Inglish onwer). Cheers
Phonetic Guess that if you were spelling the place name phonetically I guess that Cochin would sounds a like 'Cock In'. Ohhh errr misses!.
Just hope that Ashis didn't try to much Cochin action with you.
Enjoy your trip. Hi Dave and Corinne. It's se moi from lovely Portugal, who else but your crazy South African acquintance. Thanks for letting me in on your blog, hope I can be a regular contributor. Have a great trip round da vorld.
Namaste Andy Yep it's a lot of fun. We are taking it easy while our washing is being done in Cochin. Laa dee dah... We'll have some more photos soon for you to stalk over. Cochin is the Moore Park of Kerela I'd say. Reassuringly expensive but no hastles. Ahhhhhhh and relax.
Hi Simon We are really loose in the lovely calm Cochin. So far from the madding crowds. Funny how many LP deciples you meet that only eat and stay where the book tells them to. Wild! Hope the boys are behaving. Dave.
Happy Birthday...!! Hi Margaret......happy birthday!! Hope you're enjoying Croatia - sounds like it's as hot there as it is here!! Hope you enjoy Brac! We're hiring bikes today and going off for an explore.
Have fun! xx
Portuguese lessons! Hey Cristina, great to hear from you! :-)
We're staying opposite the Vasco da Gama church in Fort Cochin (south west India), where his original tomb was - so keeping up the Portuguese lessons...!!!
The food is great, but the coffee is no where near as good as Portugals!! Having lots of fun though!!
Take care!! xxx
One track mind!! Brendan, you've got such a one track mind...!!! :-) The problem with Australian girls is that you might not need a paper bag, but you'll definitely need to wear some earplugs...!! Lol.
We're having a great time together......so thanks, but no thanks!! ;-)
Cheers ears!
Technology!! :-) Hey Johann.....thanks for your message! Dave and I hadn't figured out how to 'accept' blog comments....ha, ha! Technology heh! I think we're on it now though.....just!
We're in Fort Cochin at the moment, very relaxing. Trying to decide where to go next - we were planning on heading down the coast of Kerala, but the monsoon has just hit down there, so it's a bit wet!! Might head off east instead through some tea plantations, then to Madarai and Madras. Will keep you posted! x
Fort Cochin Hey Rui!! Yes, very good advise! Palolem was lovely. We're in Fort Cochin at the moment....so nice and quiet - very relaxing. We went on a trip to the backwaters yesterday, which was fantastic. Today we're hiring bikes and doing a tour of the Fort Cochin area. Take care x
We've always wanted to go traveling - see the world, understand new cultures and enjoy new experiences. With an economic crisis looming, we've decided to head off on the adventure of a lifetime.
We left the UK on the 4th May 2009, and headed clockwise around the world. We're spending the first 6 months in Asia, followed by 3 months in Oceania and 3 months in South America.
Our Asian adventure includes India, Myanmar (Burma), Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Then it's off to Australia, New Zealand and Western Samoa. Followed by Chile, Bolivia, P... full info
