Nothing Gold Can Stay Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leafs a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay

we have much manga @library, it has a big following as does anime have you had time to visit a book shoppe and check out the local publishing scene?
Mmmm, Mexican You lucky bastard, you got to eat a nice Mexican dinner without having to pay 2800Y for it.
PS - when are you coming up to Tokyo? (hint, hint)
i am content. the reason is not only 1 hot japanese girl, but 18. on the other hand, my gender demands that i rage at you for such typically Man treatment of my kind.
dude. what's up? you've coled on us. no updates in 2 weeks? c'mon. and i KNOW you got my card. that's right, ho, i checked the "notify me" box. but no, nary a word. [okay, that was weird, using a danny word.] is this look permanent? will you still retain the urban outfitters vibe come august?
i am utterly flabbergasted. just floored. i can't bring myself to stop looking at you. it's just. the pink, the esoterically "fashionable" black waffle-knit, the green/black glasses [wait. why are you wearing glasses?], the green hair, the absurd hair in the sky. good mother of god.
hee. it didn't look that strange the second time i look at it. probably cause the first time i look at it, kelvin was freaking out. i think you scared him with that hairdo.
hey danny!!!
i'm glad your host family is so awesome and that you're feeling better. aaand your new haircut is pretty awesome. very yugioh. heh.
anyways. missing you back at toyon. random updates: toyon game happened this weekend, and i think my team did well. toyon drew guaranteed (ie 3000) for females, so there are even some girls without priority (re: not sophomores) living in toyon next year. oh. and i don't know if you knew, but i'm also a toyon RA. yeah. and kelvin and rishi are missing you like no other, i'm sure.
i'm glad that you're adjusting so well!! and way to truck through those school assignments. SO RESPONSIBLE. lol. have a good day, danny.
Food I agree with your opinion of ryokan life. It is a wonderful way to spend a weekend, especially if you can get in the countryside and find a hot spring.
One of my travelling companions from a conference arrived at such a day before me and when the hostess spent considerable time explaing how we were to soak in the tub and not use soap, etc., I suspected something was wrong and asked her about it. She was reluctant to say anything but when pressed eventually told us that my colleague had finished the night before and pulled the drain plug. Dumping >1500 liters (400 gal) of purified hot water. No one in the hotel could soak for the 24 hours it took to recharge and reheat the tub.....
an idea for your band Hottest new band here is The Raconteurs. Why don't you get with some Japanese engineers and form a tribute band called the
Lickin' Tools?
sorry 'bout that.....
Updated for China:
Now I'm a rising senior at Stanford - but still directionless. Come, read and listen to my tale of wanderings through China. Plus, I'm sure there'll be funny Chinglish along the way.
For Japan:
If you see this, you probably know me. Nothing of great import will be related here, nor will any greater truth be arrived at as a result of my travels. I'm a Stanford sophomore heading to Kyoto for spring quarter and then I'll be interning at Kyoto Sangyo University for a neuroscience deally during the summer.... full info
