Monday morning found us refreshed. We walked to PSU, through the extensive park down the center. Saw possibilities for the future: coffee shops, art gallery, music hall, tri-met transportation to and from the Amtrak station and to Holladay Park. Stopped at Kelso for a avocado veggie sandwich, getting home by 2:30 pm. So much nicer driving home on Monday! So, other than being caught in traffic on Sunday, a little drizzle, another successful STP is completed.... read more

The day started out cool, breezy, and drizzly. Dave & Barb left around 5:45, while Rachel, Tracy, Brett, Randi, and friend left an hour later. I met them at the Kelso food stop, thinking Dave might quit. However, it wasn't raining at the moment, so on he went, with Lucas. Saw Kati & family, then Rachel, Tracy & Brett came in. On I went to Holladay Park to enjoy some time resting in the Lloyd Center Mall. Had a call from Kati, that Barb had crashed. She's ok, but her bicycle is not, so no more riding for her. Dave came in first, as usual! What a guy. Ran into Ron & Peaches, planning to meet them for dinner. The gang of six left our house at 5:45 am. I originally was headed to chehalis to read and maybe enjoy the pool. However, the day ended up being more fun than that, as Greg joined the party at the last minute. He has not been on his bike this season, so is counting on his youthfulness (47) and the fact that he goes to a spinning class. Barb just got back from Europe last week, so is not sure how far she will ride. Trudy is driving to Centralia with the girls to see Greg across the first day's finish, so I join them.
