Awesome! Hey Cora! First of all, these blog entries are awesome! A very good way to break away from work for us poor souls. Secondly, I am very, VERY jealous! Sounds like you're having a great time, enjoy!
Bamboo Obsession Your bamboo photos were fun to see, and interesting because of the different layers you showed. When Karl went to Bhutan, he came home with many photos of the bamboo scaffolding they used for construction - he just loved it. Must be something mysterious and attractive about bamboo...
Rainforest Photos! Hi Cora - Wow! Sounds like you are having an amazing time! I love the photos you post and can't wait to see more when you get back. And I will have to coerce you into doing a lovely rainforest powerpoint presentation in my class this year!!
You are having way too much fun! I am extremely jealous. It sounds like you are having a great time - see and learning lots and meeting a lot of great people. I agree that you should put off Brazil for another time. Get your fill of Argentina and then you will have a reason to take another vacation to the region - you never got to see Brazil! Plus, it will give a chance to pick up that basic portuguese you were so worried about knowing :^)
hahaha- you are too cute.
Thanks for the fascinating updates.
Check to see if the madres de los
desaparecidos still march in
front of the Casa Rosada- that is intense and very moving.
Te mando besos y abrazos~
The anti-Socrates The idea of a tourist info guy who is afraid of knowing himself . . . what would Socrates, Pascal, Sartre etc. say to him . . . I ever write a novel, he'll be in it.
Cora..you're a wild girl!! What an adventure...good thing that you're not traveling back to Us so soon..travel here has been a nightmare the last few days...our flight was cancelled early this AM and we' tried every other route to Aruba ..but no luck, hopefully we'll get out early tomorrow morning...vacation will have to wait 1 more day!! have a wonderful time in Brazil..see you soon...Katie
It was 100 degrees here today, 40 sounds nice. Cora, I don't like the cold either, but these last few days have been a little too hot and humid. Enjoy the "frescura" and good call on the hat, you should fit right in in Brazil. -ML
Hats do make a difference.... ...that's what I always told my Girl Scouts. I bought a great hat at the Cape after you left and both Cassy and Anne Holzman Gabriel tried to talk me out of it. No luck.
sounds like adventure! Hi Cora...love to read your travel logs...you could write a book! Glad to know that you're safe and sound in Brazil..summer is flying by...I'm not ready to think about school yet...enjoying my last few lazy days os summer..we'll be leaving for Aruba on 8/13...can't wait...safe travels..love, Katie

No pic of BBM
I am sad to say that I was hesitant to look too closely at the BBM in the speedo, so I neglected to get a picture of him. My regrets.
