What can you say about Japan? Mere words can't do it justice but I can say its one of my favorite countries in the entire world. It has it all. Great people. Great food. Great sights. Great everything. My first trip there was a solo one in October 2003. The pics here are from the trip Lorena and I took in May 2006. Don't know when the next trip to Japan will be but I can't wait!!! Lorena, myself, and my folks went to Nicaragua for the first time----I say first time because we will definitely go again-----in January 2006. What a great country! We didn't cover a lot of ground on this trip, but we experienced and saw so much. We flew in to Managua where we spent the first night before hiring a cab to Granada the next morning. What can one write about Italy that hasn't already been written? Italy is the total package; the place that lives up to all the hype. Italy is everything you've ever dreamed it would be and more. I've been there twice now and can't wait to go again-----though I think I'll have to wait until the dollar gets a little bit stronger against the Euro: Italy is VERY expensive!!! In October 2004, I took a solo trip to Romania. When I told my friend Per (who is himself half-Romanian and whose family still owns land there) that I was going to Romania he asked me if I knew just what the hell I was doing going to Romania. The answer was yes.......but as I was to find out later, also no. Romania was surprising in some ways and disappointing in others. Surprising that it was so beautiful and has so much potential.
