Your call to any interested volunteers definitely got me interested, unfortunately i have neither the budget nor the time but itll be something Ill keep in mind for the future. The second I have any reason to travel somewhere, I start planning it! And where are you going for your Masters? Which program? Congrats by the way on getting in to your first choice! I'll be in Boston in september for an MSc in International Health Policy and Management program and I am always interested in other potential programs I could have missed out on. Enjoy the beach! |

I should have gone to work there instead of Kosovo. We didn't get drinks in pineapples there! Enjoy. X |

| 10th June 2006 victorina | ayurveda should do at real places - From: Ayurvedic Abuse in Cochi... and then the rains came In my travels to kerala I happened to stay in The Pimenta (www.haritahfarms.com) in the middle of no where from there I webnt to an ayurvedic treatment centre called Dhanwanthari where I had a 50 minute massage by two women , very gentle , after consultation with an ayurvedic doctor .The massage lasted nearly 55 minutes really synchronised as four hands working on you is a great experience . After that I got a cotton towel (disposable after use or you can take it , a special powder and soap to wash away the oil. They also provided hot water for it. The intersting part was the cost is just Rs.300/- and there was no demand for tips. The guy who runs the haritha farms told me that the price at the ayurvedic centre was reasonable because it is the price for indians. Will defenitely recomment |
| 9th June 2006 Emily B | monkey business - From: Ayurvedic Abuse in Cochi... and then the rains came Hey Clare, thanks so much for sharing. Lovely pics too. Sorry to hear about the job, but when one door closes... Youll figure something out. Rocky is slowly adjusting to Sweden, and Im seeing my country through new eyes, which is very interesting and sometimes daunting. Im also learing about swedish law and cultural history that I had forgotten about being away for 12 years.... Big hug to both of you and keep those blogs coming. :) |
| 1st June 2006 Louise Foxe | - From: Contradictions in Mumbai Janey, sounds eye-opening. Have to admit, though, you use turns of phrase and words that I don't even know, for what most people would treat as a diary of fun! (Or something) You're WAAAAAAAAAAY too good at writing for it to be a casual blog. Turn it into a book (Dave, you might come in handy here). Lou x. |
| 30th May 2006 ¿porque peru? | What have you done with Cheryl? - From: Cottage Industries and Decadence in Goa I recognise those sunglasses ... but not the 'do. Where's Cheryl gone? And Dave had better've used nail clippers on that barnet ... |
| 29th May 2006 John D | Toes - From: Cottage Industries and Decadence in Goa I've said it before and i'll say it again: Clare your toes are hideous! You should have them removed. |
| 29th May 2006 Sublime Porte | Irish delight - From: Cottage Industries and Decadence in Goa From the bleak reaches of mount Sharr and the desolate plains of Kosovo, through the temples of Peru, to the warm waters of the Indian Ocean… You are the epitome of the intrepid NGO crusader who works day and night for the well being of the huddled masses. Tough to see how hard it is for you ;) Would have loved to be there with you Sunflower… |
