FRIDAY, 24 AUGUST When I was young(er) and living in New York, there was a group of us that always hung out together. We worked and played together and were inseparable for about ten years. Well, as I said in my last blog, summer has come and gone. Summer has at last arrived. I do not make this statement lightly -- this summer has been very wet and very cold. Up until a week ago, we were still wearing turtlenecks and jumpers. But, this weekend it kicked in. Yesterday was glorious (but got away from me) and so was today -- bright sunshine and 30C/86F. Time to dig out the trainers and the camera and get walking. What a treat! I was invited to a wedding reception that was held at the Savoy Hotel -- one of the great hotels of all time. Both the bride and groom work for ZPro, so it was fun to watch them celebrate their day. They are both Persian, so this was a traditional Persian wedding. Having been too young for Woodstock and too poor for Live Aid, I have always wanted to go to an all day rock concert. I finally got the chance as my friend Mike was able to get tickets to Live Earth. Actually, he too is a member of tenUK, or as I like to call them, the miracle workers and they were able to get him six tickets.
