Missing Friend - Torres del Paine/El Calafate hi
A good friend of mine, Ronan Lawlor from Ireland, is missing in southern chile/argentina. The last known whereabouts we have for him are torres del paine around Nov 18th. His rucksack was found in the America del Sur hostel in El Calafate. Ronan was due to collect his rucksack after 3 days trekking in the Torres del Paine on November 20th. If you have met Ronan on your travels or have any information please contact his family who are desperately worried at inforonan@gmail.com
A website has also been setup http:www.ronanlawlor.org which is being kept uptodate with information from the local authorities as well as the Irish Embassy in Buenos Aires
Many Thanks,
Lisa
Sweet pics of the falls Those are some spectacular photos of the water falls. Musta been refreshing to get misted on a sunny day.
And, man, sushi sounds good right about now, too!
Must be humbling to have such a massive creature swim past you. Having an 18-wheeler go by is one thing but a living, breathing animal... beats the whale-watching stories I've heard where you only see a glimpse of a tail half way between you and the horizon.
Keep the stories comin'!
jealous Hi girls, Your experiences look incredible. Can't wait to visit there myself. Looking forward to hearing about your adventures. Stay safe. Love, K
Wow...reminds me of my time there! Guys...your blog is awesome...keep it up. I wish I was there with you!
keep on having a blast!
I also went sandboarding in Chile when I was there!
Hugs,
karolina
First of all, Copacabana is one of the only songs I'd ever consider doing in Karaoke, and second I LOVE egg sandwiches (but I'm not a huge fan of you describing the place that sells them as 'creepy')!!!
Chlordan: Doesnt look like you are having much fun. Perhaps you can return to Canada and befriend me again - we can do tours of Toronto and watch jays games everyday......think about it.....
Bolivia Hey girls... I love your blog.. so funny to read about all the places that i have been too! bolivia is great. we really liked la paz, and sucre has a great market with amazing fruit for very cheap. are you going down to Salar de Uyuni. the town of uyuni sucks but the 3 day salt flat tours are beautiful. if you go be prepared for bad food and a lot of flat tires...the scenery is definatly worth it though!!! also taking the train between potosi and sucre is really interesting. if you go to santa cruz go to a small town 2hrs away called samaipata and stay at La Vispera organic herb farm...sooo nice.
ok..well.. that's all the tips i have for today.. I am so jealous of you two. Have fun!
Emily
