home will be dull! Kentucky will be a little dull when you finally get here. No pirates just people who will take your money at the track! We loved seeing the picture of Sandra! We miss her talks. Is she going to be in England in the fall? We hope to be there, visiting Vickie and Simon Latham for a day or two and then driving up to see Simon's childhood friends, the Duke of Northumberland wife's garden at Alynwick. We saw it a few years ago and thought it the most spectacular we had ever seen. Simon says they have put another 80 million pounds into it! It has dramatically increased tourism to the area. Spring has come to Kentucky. My camellias, daffodils and tulips are in bloor as are the redbud trees and the pink and white magnolias. We are looking forward to seeing you and hearing all! enjoying the trip in spirit Thanks for the updates. I enjoy "travelling" with you two with the descriptive narrative you provide. Keep 'em coming! Remind me again when you plan to return to CA.?.
Section #4, Indian Ocean We enjoy your adventures vicariously. How nice to see Dr. Tinkle and the Weldons again! You both look beautiful as ever, and Chuck's bathing trunks deserve a particular mention--really gorgeous! If they still had masquerade nights on ocean liners, you could all dress like pirates and simulate a possible adventure. (example of sick humor!). We miss you all. However, we are enjoying Springtime in Washington which is definitely everyone's favorite season. The cherry blossoms are at their peak, and it looks like fairyland. We are both well, and enjoying the sunshine.
Keep the travel documentary coming; we hope to see you next year at the Oscars! Fondly, Vivienne and Bill Stark
This is a wonderful accounting of the Bangkok visit. You caught the essence of your experiences and the photos were great. Watch out for those kissing elephants Linda. Chuck may get jealous.
Oh the Fond Memories Dear Chuck and Linda,
We have many memories of our time there, with you and all our good friends on the Voyager, in 2006. Love your photos as usual and seems like you are having a great time so far. We survived floods, earthquakes, mudslides and other assorted natural disasters and are now safely back at Possum Kingdom. It was a great cruise. Wish you had been there. Look forward to your next blog. Love and hugs, Jud and Vicki
Thinking of you! I loved reading this and knowing that you're on board our favorite ship! Have a wonderful time, tell everyone we know Hi for us and keep your blog going. What a wonderful birthday for Chuckles.
You are Back and Better than Ever Our paths crossed in Hong Kong. Unfortunately, we were leaving Voyager for home as you boarded. We look forward to reading of your adventures. Love to you both and Happy Birthday, Chuck!
Voyager cruise Hi Walkers,
I have downloaded and we are looking at all your submissions from this cruise. We are booked on the same voyage embarking May 12 on the Voyager. Sherri and George Burke are sailing with us. Your photos are informing us what clothing we will need to take with us. It appears you had a fun trip. We are looking forward to our cruise as well.
Thanks for the updates.

Happy Holidays Glad to see you are still traveling. Hope you are still playing bridge.!! I just finished teaching a class of 36 very enthusiastic beginners and we are now working on setting up a weekly game in Middlebury. Come play with us if you get up this way.

We remember it well As always a great narrative. We too have done this trip and been lucky with weather and sightings of wildlife. What a beautiful and rugged state it is.
Next week we leave for trip to Black Sea, will keep you posted of course.
Best from us both,
Bo
Thanks for sharing! Hi Linda and Chuck, I felt like I was there with you! What a fabulous trip this looked to be! I'm so happy that you and Patty were able to spend this special time together, special for her and special for all four and special for the state of Alaska. You photos are captivating. I know you take hundreds (thousands?). I don't know how you narrow it down to just these few, but what a great few they are!
What a fun celebration You two really should be travel writers. Sounds like you had a very special and wonderful trip. Only thing missing was the cruise part.
What a cool trip! I enjoyed reading about your Alaska adventure. We'll be sailing that way next week on the Mariner. But, I'd really like to return on a land trip. How great that you celebrated Alaska's 50th birthday along with your sister's. Love reading about your travels.
Memories Hello Linda and Chunk,
Thoroughly enjoyed reading your diary.............brought back lots of lovely memories, there were certainly lots of wonderful happenings.
Enjoy your next adventure, whatever that maybe. Regards Elaine - from Kiwi Land.
Just looked at your pictures and read your entries What a surprise. So wonderful to hear from you. My life at home sounds and truly is dull compared to the memories looking and reading what you have posted shows. Was it ever fun, exciting, wonderful and never to be forgotten. People like you made it great. Matthew is still thanking me for the trip. He thinks we should go to Ireland next year. I'm making pickles today and have a hair appointment later this p.m. Now how dull can that be. Matthew is putting his pictures on a DVD and will send them along for me, but yours are memory laden. Thanks so much and so good to hear. Keep me posted of your goings. If you make the trip you were talking to us about later, please let me know and perhaps you could swing by our house. Phyllis Smith
iceland, etc. Hi Chuck and Linda! You are one year ahead of us. We have booked the same trip except from Ft Lauderdalr next May 12 through June 5th. We were thrilled to get your reactions and pictures from your trip. Guess you are both fine as are we. Our trip this year was to Alaska. What a beautiful place. So now we have been to all 50 states. Hope our paths will cross on one of our trips. Keep cruising! Adel and Homer
EARTH TRAVELERS
The travel bug took hold of us early in life. Maybe because, as children and “Air Force Brats”, we moved with our families every couple of years to bases around the world; like Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for Chuck and Anchorage, Alaska for Linda. We met in 1976 and married in 1979; our 34 years together have been greatly influenced by our many travel adventures. After 20 years in the real estate field and only being able to get away for three weeks at a time, we retired in ... full info
