Greetings from India I have been trying to read your blog. I hope you are enjoying your world trip. I wish you all the best. I will get in touch with you soon.
Good views? Hi guys, did you go up the Petronas Tower yet? I guess you'll be able to watch the Aussie F1 GP without having to get up early! You missed a classic performance from Stevie G in the derby. When you get to Singapore put on your best clothes and go for afternoon tea at Raffles! Love Dad
Yes We went up the KL Tower which looks at the pettonas towers but Is only a bit smaller. Yes woke up to the liverpool score! But havnt seen highlights yet... I would love to watch the f1 but can't watch iplayer abroad and doubt well find anywhere that plays it live.
Worried of Bristol I've just tried out the Malay part of Google Translate. Steph's standing in front of a sign that says
"Trespassers will be prosecuted.
Property under surveillance.
Pihano Island Port Commission"
Is she getting enough food in prison now?
Dad.
PS: Steph -- you're not blogging any more - we miss it!
PPS: Charlie -- hope the sunburn's better.
PPPS: Matt -- look like you ought to be looking after BOTH of them!
Crocodile Others can see the rare creature that you photographed! I think I am correct in saying that it is crocodile family - Latin name - Tomistoma schlegelii or the False Gharial. There is a link to some pictures http://www.arkive.org/false-gharial/tomistoma-schlegelii/image-G2071.html#mediaCredit=true . It is an endangered species and in the Red Data book. Used to be found in Thailand but not since 1990. Now restricted to Malaysia, Sumatra and Borneo. They can grow to 16ft! Yours was a small one! Very exciting and your picture probably worth something. I must say the camera's performance is great. Thanks Charlie for the notes - very special to be in contact with this journey.
skinned frogs not nice Hi you guys. Sounds all sooooo good. Have you done any washing yet. How's your sun burn Charlie. Its mothering Sunday on Sunday. I have hardly bought any cereal since you left. Loved the pics of Barney the bear, Matt. Met Ollie today and his wife. He called you Matthew rather than Matt. That was weird.
Lots of love xxxx
Monitor looks like a Monitor lizard to me. If you see one making early morning deliveries around the neighbourhood - it's probably a milk monitor.. (sorry). Charlie's Dad.
This all looks fantastic! We are so delighted you guys are having a good time - do hope Charlies sunburn is better now. Well done if you persuaded Steph into the water. Please keep the posts coming - and the photos. It means a lot to us!
heard of suncream? what a beautiful place, sounds like youve taken my advice already and taken loads of different types of transport even if you didnt need to! lots of love xxx
Boating What a great time, pity that Maggie B is not there for you. I went on board today and started the engine and ran her up for half an hour. I can always pretend!!! Hope you.get an elephant somewhere. I do hope Charlie improves rapidly. Thanks Steph for letting us read your blog and super pictures - very descriptive. God bless all. Love G&G
Wish we were there Just so jealous - makes us want to go off again! Sorry Charlie about the sunburn - I remember that heat when we snorkelled, you don't notice it happening. Trouble is there is always another shoal of fish you really must see. If it happens again submerge the part under water as long as poss to disperse the heat. Love to you all. (Charlie - Mum, Dad and Nat coming for a curry on Sunday, shall miss you)
Ships, sea and sealing-wax What a great time, pity that Maggie B is not there for you. I went on board today and started the engine and ran her up for half an hour. I can always pretend!!! Hope you.get an elephant somewhere. I do hope Charlie improves rapidly. Thanks Steph for letting us read your blog and super pictures - very descriptive. God bless all. Love G&G
You really in Thailand? Hi guys... Charlie hope you are feeling better.... We did laugh cos it really looks like you are on a pedalo in southsea! But I guess you wouldn't get such bad sunburn there! Seriously though, tee shirt next time? Thanks matt for you great blogs , just the sort of info we want. Keep enjoying every minute of it, even the painful bits. Stay safe! Xxx
SOOOO JEALOUS!! These pictures look amazing!! And there appears to be water everywhere so I am sooooooooooooooo jealous. Looks like your having so much fun...Becca\'s gone now too so looks like I only have the sport to keep me company now, F1 starts tomorrow so excited about that and the swimmings been on all week WAHOO! (wow I'm sad). Anyway keep the pictures coming so I can pretend I\'m actually there with you guys as well :)
Hi All sounds rather wonderful - just the way it should be - chaotic, confusing and enjoying all the new sites, sounds and smells. We loved Koh Samui - found a great beach hut, watched open air movie , met up with some new friends and had a beach massage (never again!)
Love and hugs
Peter and Fiona
Your news Thanks Matt for the excellent description and photos of your time in Chinatown and especially the photo of the plate of food !! Thanks Charlie for filling us in with the next episode. The snorkelling must have been great fun but please all of you be careful not to get sunburned. The resultant problems come later in life as you know with Grandpa.I am really enjoying looking all the places up on the Internet and feeling part of the tour.Have a wonderful time in Samui.Elephant rides?
Lots of love. G&G.
Sunburn! I guess a T - shirt would have been a good idea. Remember I lost a layer of skin when I was your age from sunburn - not very comfortable. Sounds like a good day snorkelling though. A bit like the Maldives? Have a good time on the next Island - are you planning any diving? Love Dad
Ouch Hi you three.... Sounds incredible, amazing, tiring, and painful all wrapped up in awesomeness! Could you have ever imagined a train journey like that? It will give you endless opportunities to reminisce in the future! But the island sounds beautiful... Very envious today as I look out on the rain! Keep having a fantastic time and wear a tee shirt in the water next time? Much love to you all xxxx
