Today, Bobo woke me up by poking my head until I opened my eyes. I am going with my uncle in the morning to see swimming at the Water Cube. I woke up at about 7:30. As usual, breakfast, toast and peaches. I thought of bringing my Chinese flag to swimming even though China isn’t the best at it. We left at 8:00 and took the regular route to the Olympic Green. Today, I woke up at about 6:30 to get ready to go to gymnastics. My aunt is taking me to watch it at the National Indoor Stadium. I had toast as usual for breakfast. Last night, I charged up my camera battery to full. Bobo was still very fuzzy when he woke up. I was very excited. Today would be the first day I go see an Olympic event. We packed everything up. Today, my cousin Winston is coming to our house. Winston lives in Canada. As usual, in the morning I did my routine of finishing my homework before breakfast, eating breakfast, and then playing for a while. At 8:00, my grandfather and I went to the SOHO area in Beijing to receive our Olympic tennis tickets. My grandfather took me there by his motorbike. In the SOHO district there are many tall buildings like the CCTV building. As we neared the area, I could see towering skyscrapers as tall as the Chrysler Building. Today, I woke up at about 5:30. I have fully recovered from jet lag too. Yesterday night, we went to Wangfujing Street and visited the Beijing Olympic Souvenir Flag Store. Inside, was buzzing with people. I bought a small hat that had the five Fuwas on it. I also bought a shirt and a towel. Inside, there were so many Fuwa Souvenirs like shirts, mugs, hats, and other stuff. There was also a whole room just for plush dolls too. As my mom woke me up, I heard the voices of my grandparents talking on the phone. Today is the day I go to China by myself. I got dressed quickly and ran downstairs to eat breakfast. I would carry three bags to China. Two would get checked in and a small suitcase will come with me onto the plane. My plane leaves at 12:00 at Washington D.C. National Airport. Today, I slept much better than yesterday night. I woke up to the sound of my grandfather making breakfast. I didn’t know what he was making, but I got up to see. On the table, I saw to toasts with lots of butter on them. A prosciutto and butter sandwich and some cooked eggs. As I got down to eat, I thanked my grandfather and hugged him.
