After a long bumpy 175km bus ride we arrived at Halong bay where over 3000 islands rise from the waters, on arrival is looked stunning, unfortunately the 100’s of junk boats sailing the waters does take away from the beautiful scenery, the boats are replicas of the ancient Chinese junk boats. On arrival we were pleased to see the weather was a lot nicer here than in Hanoi, we boarded a little boat which sailed us through the hundreds of junk ships in the harbour to board our boat; Hanoi Opera. The boat was lovely, nice rooms, beautiful views from our window; all good.
