Cathy you are a natural writer. You should give up the APS and syndicate your travel writing. It has certainly sharpened my desire to experience the places where you and Mike have been. Your ability to portray the funny side of your experiences and to take misadventure in your stride is extraordinary. I have had many early morning laughs reading your blogs.
Kind regards
Gordon
Thank you! Hello Gordon, thanks for your kind words, I'm really glad you have enjoyed reading my blog. I'm a little sad that my holiday is over, but I'm looking forward to coming home! See you soon!
Thank you Thanks Cath for the wonderful journey you have shared with me & all the funny moments & history of the amazing countries you have visited. Its been the trip of a life time for you both (I think it will be a bit difficult to go back to the mundane life of daily work etc) But the family will certainly be looking forward to seeing you & I'm sure there will be lots more funny stories to tell) Enjoy the heat & splendour of Dubai & have a very safe trip home. Thanks again so much for the Blogs - I will miss them. Love & God Bless Bev xxxx PS Your two travel mates seem to be in sinc with the two of you which was lovely - great to have such good friends.
Get that address! Love the blog! Hope you have saved the address of your favourite Athenian restaurant. Would love to eat there in April next year when we collect our bike from Piraeus. How did you get to the top of the Acropolis? We walked from the bottom and had jelly legs when we reached the top but the view made it worthwhile.
Fantastic Cathy & great photoes - we all look forward to your latest blog - Its sad your Greek adventure is coming to an end soon but you have some wonderful memories & stories to tell. Take care now & sending lots of love xxxxx ,
WOW! You just write so beautifully....we feel like we are there with you.......except no being able to taste the food you describe so well just like a food writer. You sound like you are having soooooo much fun!!!! xx
What about the wine? Great blog but no mention of food or wine? I like to know what you are sampling along the way. As for segways; I think I'll stick to motorbikes, much safer!
Steak tartare Your gastronomic tour of Europe continues! Kerrie tried the steak tartare in Narbonne in 2011 with an interesting finale. We will tell you that story later! With all your sampling of European fare and sipping of red wine, your photos show you don't appear to have put on weight! What's the secret?
Missed your vocation Cathy, I believe you missed your vocation.....you should be a travel writer....your facts, interesting tid bits & photos put a lot of travel writers to shame!!! Vincent didn't credit you with much genetic input did he (& less Robbins') lol!!!! xx
Le Tour Omg!!! What an incredibly exciting day. You guys are clearly having the holiday of a lifetime. It's all so interesting and amazing. You'll need to come home for a holiday!! Love Rozzi :)
Toldya! You are right. We agree this is motorbike heaven - the reason we spent 2 weeks riding those roads last year. We stayed at Varese - just up the road from Lake Maggiore. Varese is the home of the M V Augusta factory.
WOW!!! We are really loving your blog and it brings back memories of our European trips!! How will you ever settle back into everyday life.............!! xx
Eating your way around Europe! German sausage and apple struedel, Czech pilsen beer, Austrian Vienna Schnitzel, Hungarian goulash, Italian wine, Swiss chocolate and fondu! Imagine what culinary delights await in Spain, Greece and Turkey? How are you ever going to go back to Aussie steak with three veg and chips washed down by a Tooheys New? Great photos - keep them coming
