Happy Birthday Jay! Happy Birthday buddy! Sorry to hear about the ending to your time in China, but it certainly gives insight into how much the average Joe doesn't know about China. Hope you enjoy Tibet, and look forward to the new adventures!
Hey Jay..no offense taken You are lucky I am not there as I am sure I would be drinkign with my fellow Poles till the wee early morning hours. If I wasn't engaged, I probably would also be strutting my stuff out on the dance floor. I am glad to see that you are bith safe, and wish you both a Happy Thanksgiving.

just started reading.. holy crap, jay! what a wild and crazy ride you two are having. i am sooo jealous...glad to see you and Carolee are doing well. stay safe! your blogs are extremely well written and fun to read!
Good good Hey guys
What incredible adventures you are having! They are enough to make someone who sits behind a desk all day very very jealous. Glad to hear you have been safe and enjoying your trip. The photos are great next time I have to go to a health care thing I’m going to have to make a point of finding a good good sex one. Hope your travels continue to go well!
OMG I think this has to be the funnies travel blog yet. Cara we thought the Jamaican mozzies were bad. I almost fell off my chair with the picture "Fending off mosquitoes" Great! Take it easy guys. Miss you, love ya! :)
Fantastic entry! This is a great blog entry - dare I say, the best so far. I could almost see the sunrise in the mountains! I could almost picture in my mind Jay being a cheapskate and eating half-price left-over buffet dumplings.
Kudos, and happy traveling!
Creative Writing Greetings from Ireland...I love the descriptions on your trip, makes it possible to imagine I am right there in the middle of it all...looking forward to the pulitzer prize winning version next year!!
Still funny I love reading your entries! Way to keep wary, but I'm glad it worked out for you. I look forward to reading about your adventures every week! Miss you guys, can't wait to hear the stories in person. Luv ya!
is it possible to just look at them real mean and do the throat cutting sign, then point at them?
Or just learn to say "We're lepers" in Chinese then proceed to try and touch them?
Sorry for those misfired comments!
I am very happy to hear you were finally able to leave Mongolia! But I must say (Jay) I was surprised to hear that you were unaware that dung was used as a heat sorce for early settlers in the Midwest! Where were you for Illinois Prarie education! All in all gald to hear your back in China, and no longer using poop to keep warm! So where to next?
hope you're out of Mongolia Your travels sound fascinating. Ours was fantastic, but mundane and safe by comparison. Don't think either Jean or I could handle the unusual foods and accomodations. We like our clean bed and safe foods. Stay safe and enjoy.
Love ya
Hi guys I'm so jealous of your fabulous adventures! I nearly split with laughter over the food situation. I was in class too! Careful where you read the blog!!! Have fun and thanks for sharing!
Em
wow jay, thanks for the toilet visual..and my bet is on the apples. let me know if i need to send some drugs your way for india..or maybe just some freeze dried meals? oh, and can i get a pic of the jade buddha temple for jade?? looking forward to hearing about the gobi. play (and eat) safe. xo
Hope you guys are more careful with the food I am sure you will find Mongolia very interesting. Be careful in Vietnam as the avian flu is a concern there.
Having recently joined the unemployed set, we're forced to flee the NY rents and lifestyle for dollar dumplings and tsingtao. We start out in China and muddle our way through to Turkey with stops in Mongolia, India and Egypt among others. ... full info
