Sorry it’s been awhile since my last update! And now there is so much to tell! Easter weekend we got 5 days off so my friend Sara and I took a bus down five hours south to Margaret River. We spent the first night camping right on these rocks by this gorgeous beach, it was so awesome. While we were sitting watching the sunset this pod of dolphins just swam by and were jumping in the air playing it was so beautiful and unbelievable! Definitely one of the most awesome things I have ever witnessed! It was like they were putting a show on for us! We spent the weekend visiting the wineries and some amazing crystal caves they have down south. It was wonderful. One night we also ended up moving to a camp ground ... read more

Thanks for all the messages and emails, it good to hear from people and it's also nice to know about all the snow I am missing out on at home! I've started school now, although it hardly seems like it. I have only 10 hours of classes a week and my tutors (what they call professors) usually let us out early so its barely that! Also, they have a 3 year program instead of four so its strictly nursing, they don't take any electives or as many sciences as we do. God and Christianity are also brought up a lot by my ... read more

Can't believe I've already been here for two weeks! It's beginning to feel more like home everyday. I have finally figured out my way around and the bus schedule and such which makes everything much easier. Public transportation is great here- cheap and easy to use. It only costs me about 60 cents to get to school or around town on the bus and about 75 cents to take the train into the city. I have been spending most of my time at the beach and exploring the city. Mullaloo beach is just at the end of my road, about a 15 minute walk. Its beautiful! White sandy beach and clear blue water! And the beaches and the city are soo clean here it's amazing! My school is about a 10-15 minute bus ride and the ... read more

So far sooo good! I just spent a great 10 days in Alaska visiting friends from this summer and seeing what it is like without 24 hours of sunshine. I thought it would be mostly dark but actually the sun came out at about 9:30 and set around 5:00 so not too much different from home. I saw 5 moose which I absolutely love. It was WICKED WICKED cold so I didn't really spend too much time outdoors but did get out some and even though it is cold Alaska is still extremely beautiful in the winter. However Carrie told me it was literally the coldest two weeks they've had this winter with even some record lows. The mountains look even more huge covered in snow, and when the sun sets on them... just unbelievably gorgeous. ... read more
