S.America
Thanks for the three latest blogs starting from Santiago and ending in Cusco. What a lovely setting and scenery, it looks almost very healthy to. You should have spent more time in S.America than trudging around the far east in smog, tropical sweat areas and tup-tups. It makes you wish "I should visit that place". Can't wait to hear about rest of your escapades around the Latin continent. xxxxxxx

bathroom
Sounds exactly like the bathroom i had on kangaroo island last year and if you got yourself locked out of your room you could ask your neighbour to use theirs and just duck under the partition to get into yours. Really made me feel safe!!!

Looks inviting.
Looks a bit like the scenery in the man with the golden gun. Envious as usual. Remember to quote the exchange rate occasionally, I had to look it up to see what prices were in real money! Take care.

Seafood platter
Was that an octopus on the platter? Look like enough seafood to last a week! $15 for a hotel - do they use American currency, or are you just doing the conversion? What you gonna do when you get to NZ if $15 is expensive!? Hope you are both well. Take care.

touts
No, they either get it off the hotel or are doing in on behalf of their friend/neighbour/uncle etc as businesses tend to be very family orientated out here.

Question
Hope all is well with you. Do the touts expect a back hander from you, or do they get one from the hotel? I see the bust of Uncle Ho is in gold. How does that fit in with the communist ideology, I wonder!

Meditating Monk
How on earth did they preserve the monk - not a bit smelly? See you are starting to prefer Yamahas to Porches - much cheaper and greener.
