Actually yes, I do know how noisy an Ak-47 sounds when you're holding it to your ear. I also know how to make coconut candy, rice papers, tea and honey, how to tunnel around in cu chis, party at the Sailing Club, cross the street in Saigon, have a suit and several crappy pairs of pants tailored for me. I also saw the forest rollercoaster. You're still going to Laos right!?
vietnam?? Hey! Are you for real in Vietnam now? I love it. Can't wait to read the next entry. We're getting up to one country per post now, it's good for organizaton purposes haha. I am planning a trip out there in May/June... a shorter one than yours unfortunately... and I am definitely going to have to get you and Sarah to help me hit the key sites. Hope you're still having an amazing time!

BRODUS Where's that picture that you said you'd post, huh??? I need pics! Ha ha jk. I like how you use my message board for your own means. Funny how you couldn't remember Lance's name until he mentioned to me how he partied with you in Bangkok! I might meet up with Bart tomorrow at the airport and chill with him for a few hours before he flies back to BarTcelona. I'm going to Chaing Mai in the next few days as well! I guess I should take your advice and look into some Lonely Planets for Laos/Cambodia/Vietnam and shit. Umm.. GO TO MALAYSIA! I know you've been "meh" about it but it really is cool to see. The rainforests are awesome. Much colder than Thailand but whatever good shit. Pretty cheap too... well average ha ha. Take care, you're cool!
ahaha the Heart of Darkness... we went there too, why does everyone go there? I found it to be neither dark, or comically amusing as the name implies. As for Angkor, I also agree its a bit hyped up, theres only so many temples you can stand to look at. We were also done by the first half of the first day, in my opinion anyone who spends three whole days there is pretty hardcore.
Well, keep on writing, I'm enjoying the blog. Oh and by the way, you didn't miss anything at Sihanoukeville, believe me

Ha ha ha I forgot about that creature following us! Oh man Brodie that was a really messed up sounding noise. I was pretty convinced it was a dog making some dying noise but you were sure it was something else. Classic. I'll have to see that video one day!
I'm in Malaysia. Not the same as Thailand. I miss Thai people. So friendly and nice! I'll update my blog soon. I'm kind of lazy... but I ended up spending 8 nights at Bamboo Bay ha ha. Awesome place!
I gotta go explore though. You should go to Malaysia though. The drive down was so cool. It's the neatest looking rainforest/jungle I've ever seen.

Hey Brodie.......... that was a very detailed update on your travels....you are very good at keeping us all informed on where you are and what you are up to.Very interesting reading.Sounds like the Halloween hero strikes again................that guy was very lucky you were there to help him out.....so glad everything turned out okay.Keep up the good work!!!Well I am back to reality and work after our two great holidays...Just got the Christmas lights down yesterday......miss you and your visits but sure enjoy reading about your travels......You astound me with your great writing.....always looking forward to the next one.......Untill then we love you...........stay safe......... aaa Sawatdee Woomaster! Looks like you're having an awesome time in Asia, I read the whole thing and was happy that I knew exactly what you were talking about for the most part.... the touts, the buckets, the same sames... it's all coming back to me! My one piece of advice, since you are apparently doing the counter-clockwise circle, would be to not spend all your time in Cambodia and Vietnam and leave none for Laos! Poor little Laos, always overlooked, but it was amazing, so don't skimp out on it now or you'll be getting a verbal beating from me. Or my other piece of advice would just to simply never ever come home, because believe me, you realize home is definitely not all its cracked up to be. Oh, what I wouldn't give to be back in Asia now!
well keep on rockin Brode, I'm so jealous.

Vandy-Go-Round Just had to make another comment to commend you on the great pics. At times I'm jealous after seeing the places you are, but then I realize how lazy I am and how my fellow hikers would have to construct a make-shift stretcher to pull me on so I don't lay down somewhere in the jungle and die.
Here's a thought; why are the kids always so happy to have their picture taken? Aren't those jungle-dwellers raised to believe that taking their picture steals their soul? Or is that just aboriginals of old? Ah, whatever. That's enough of my rambling. Keep truckin' good buddy!
25 and feelin alive! Its been a 3 year gap, but its now 2010 and round 2 for me in South East Asia. With 10 weeks to spare, I've here with an open itinerary and an open mind. Lets see what happens!... full info
