I am currently entering it what I have coined the "wind down-wind up" process. This may sound like a process involving a very confused wind up toy. That is not quite what I was imagining. The "wind down-wind up" process is when one starts to tie up the loose ends of their life before jetting off on a travel expedition. As one is tying up loose ends they are reminded why they are doing such tying which winds them up and gets them all excited. One example is calling the credit card company. I know that doesn't really sound that enthralling but it honestly is. It’s the five week countdown which translates into tying up my loose ends. One of the main issues I need to tackle is getting my health in order. I had my doctor’s appointment this morning where I feel everything was taken care of. Here’s my current checklist: -Malaria Pills: Annoying pills you have to take daily to prevent developing this long-term disease which symptoms include vommitting, fever…which sounds really similar to the possible side effects of the anti-malaria medication. I guess Malaria takes the gold because it includes convulsions and a possible lethality about it. -Hepatitis Vaccinations: Needles we all had to endure back in grade 7 in our lovely cold hearted gymnasiums. I'm a blog virgin, but I thought this would be a great way to document my trip (and the sometime exciting pre-planning that comes along with it). I leave on February 7th!!!!! Six more weeks!!! Enough exclamation points. I thought I would start with a (ooppps long) entry of my travel past. This is my second solo trip. My first one was going out west to British Columbia last summer. I went to work at a resort in Kelowna. I worked there for about 6 weeks. I left because drinking EVERY and I mean every night at a picnic table was getting old.
