Its been a while since we updated so will have to try and rack my brain for the exact places etc... So to start off, the liveaboard was fantastic...we left Patong in Phuket on wednesday 2nd April and boarded a fair size "live-a-board" with 15 or so other divers plus crew... The diving was out of this world, crystal clear and the you would think you were swimming in a lake its so calm. I didnt think i would do more than about 3 or 4 dives tops but ended up doing 10 dives in 4 days including a night dive which i swore i would never do (sharks...), bran did 12 dives the little die hard but we absolutely loved it and was so nice to dive together and see the underwater world. ....so to pick up from the last blog.... we decided to go with the bus to Phnom Phen as the other crowd were and it was cheaper... the trouble was we went out with the Irish the night before (Shona and Wes) and didnt get in until 4am, after drinking (more) warm beer and witnessing lady men trying to hook up with all the tourists... So at 6am we were up to set off to Phnom Phen... the bus... well it seems that every time we think one is bad the next one rolls in and we wish we had the one before... anyway i wont go into too much detail as we got there in the end. firstly if the spelling is a little off or if this is missing some letters, We are at a dingy internet cafe with a keyboard that seems to have seen its fair share of backpackers where to begin... Well we arrived in Bangkok on Wednesday (19th)..at around 10 or so.. when the airport doors opened we were nearly knocked off our feet by the sudden heat.... We caught a bus (which at the tie we thought was a very average, bog-standard bus..but have since realised that that was the super-luxury type) to Khao-San Road and found ourselves some accommodation and then spent the rest of the day and night wondering around, battering with the street sellers and trying to get a feel for the life in Bangkok- what a crazy city. Well the wedding was fantastic, overwhelming and everything we wanted. We are both still feeling as if its all a dream and that the last 3 weeks didnt happen... we are loving being married... We left SA at 13.30 yesterday, and arrived in Bangkok this morning at 10am local time, after a stopover in Singapore... 14 or 15 hours of flying and we are here in the hot, hustle and bustle of Bangkok... we have found a hotel and have spent the day walking the streets looking at the markets.. We are booked on a tour tomorrow to go see the floating markets and then friday morning we leave at the crak of sparrow to travel to Cambodia... Well the count down began a while back...in fact I need as soon as we set the date for the wedding, we have been counting down the Months, weeks and even days... After many requests to be kept updated on our wedding and travels as well and photos, we have taken some advice and started a "travel blog" So the intention is to upload photos as we go and to write a little bit on each place we see so that we too, can keep this and look back...
