Hey all,how things??? Sorry its been a while but when the sun is out and the ocean is clear it's a BIG NO NO to sit indoors on a computer !!! We finally got the strength and decided that it was time to leave Goa,as if we didnt we would really have not seen anymore of the beautiful coast...Time is ticking and our flight out to Bangkok is nearing,21st October!!! We had a beautiful time in Patnem, south Goa!!!We met super local people who we will definitely keep in touch with and who have all offered a bed next time we decide to come visit...Our next stop was in the next state south of Goa called Karnataka. We boarded our train, just sitting with the locals and can you beleive that our 115km trip cost only 15Rs per person, thats ... read more

Hello all,It's Brad here, how is everybody???I hope all well with everyone ...Well where to begin!!! We left Varanasi by train to Dehli where we caught a flight to Dabolim airport in Goa.We have had enough of the hustle and bustle of the north of India, strange but true, but travelling in the north is so bloody tiring. You step out of where you are staying and it's FAST paced!!!Anyways,we were after the sun and sea,and thats where Patnem beach in Goa comes in.We arrived late at night so it was pretty much straight to our roomhut and off to sleep.Waking up that 1st morning was breathtaking, looking out of where we were staying and there was the sea right infront of us.You walk out the room onto sand, thats how close!!!We were staying on the property of a local family who ... read more

Hello friends, how things with all youz???After delhi, there for 3 days,we got the train to Agra, south east of Delhi, about a 4 hr trip which left mid day.We got there with no real problems, but then the rickshaw drivers at the train station! These guys will honestly kill eachother to get your business, and then when they do,TRY RIP YOU OFF!!!We had none of this, and just a good example to give to you guys,we got the guy down from his origanal 250RS to 60RS..Word of advise to anyone coming to India, divide every price by at least half and then start to bargain!!!Early evening we arrived at a guetshouse where they also tried to rape us with the price, but fortunately to the good looking and charming Lindsey Rose (aka:my girlfiend),we managed to get the guy down from about 450RS to 300RS (4GBP) ... read more

HELLLLLLOOOOOO Everyone!!!! Haven't done anything on here for a while as I have been on transport duty!!!! Thanks to KING Brad this blog is as up-to-date as it is :-) So Varanasi, we really thought we had seen it all til we got here, WOW colourful chaos!! A really helpful rickshaw driver helped us find accomodation as everywhere was pretty full or expensive. We ended up staying in Assi Ghat at Om Home Guesthouse (150rs a night),2GBP, set away a little from the main strip. The first night we arrived we took a walk down to the Ghat where there was an evening fire show going on in front of the Ganges river. A great atmosphere, all the locals were together singing and chanting, was so good to watch. Lots of touts selling postcards and every ... read more

Hello all Well im not going to say much on Delhi as i think it's a !@#$ hole!!!The place honestly looks like there has been a major earthquake, you cannot beleive the rubble and rubbish that there is lying around!!!We can honestly now understand why there is this HUGE hooha concerning the city to not be ready for the Commonwealth Games this month (Sept). It's also really expensive,it's got the "RIP OFF THE TOURIST" attitude!!!..A big plus side is that we get to see our British mates again,Tom&Katie, who have come down from Minali in the north..Its only a stay of 3 days for us and then off to Agra to see the Taj Mahal and then across east to the holy city of Varanasi, which is on the Ganges river where the Hindu people burn the bodies etc etc!!!Sorry ... read more

After a super time in Amritsar,it was time for us to move on,and it was up into the mountains of Himachal Pradesh to a tiny villiage/town called Mcleod Ganj (see map). This is where all the monks who have fled Tibet because of the chinese invasion have settled. Its the home of the Dalai Lama, the leader of the Tibetan people. First things first,we were very lucky to see this amazing place as I honestly said my prayers the whole ride there as we did literally almost have about 25 head ons, that excludes wiping out pedestrians or cows!!!The guy would honestly not look before swerving around the car infront to overtake and if there was something coming towards us,"tough shit,im in a big bus"!!!That was the mentality...After 7 hrs of torture,we arrived at Dharamasala, from there a short 30min bus ... read more
