Beautiful Photography
Hi Rebecca, You are quite adept at snapping the moment. That crab looks like she is trying to pinch you! Is popping bubble kelp anything like popping bubble wrap? I laughed out loud when I read the caption under the photo of your shadow in the ocean, awsome idea! So much life, I love it! Drew

Thanks for the blog
Hello sweets, That was such an informative (if sometimes depressing) blog. So sorry the deer died - I was hopinghe would live after the shock. What wonderful work you are all doing! I am glad you are learning so much (and no doubt will educate us once you are home). See you soon, Love Mama

How is it that he can make the matzah balls well on his first try but mom still can't?

The failed matzo ball chef!
Hi there! Well I have never heard of a matzo ball lasagna--I can't even imagine it and where did Drew get matzo flour??? Also, what was that fruit or vegetable you had for breakfast--curious as I never heard of it. You all looked lovely-including Whistler. Thanks for such an interesting and fun entry. Love, Mama

I love blogs
It has been nice getting pictures to go with the stories from your trip Rebecca, happy for you. The junkyard art is the best! Although the food looks delicious, the day seemed to be all about food! Typical Revka.. Stay as warm as you can, much love Drew.

The feathers are aren't on a wire, that's just the way they grow. Birds of Paradise are known for really crazily evolved feathers and displays for mating. Look them up on youtube to see their mating rituals!

Are you talking about Poppins or that blue bird chick?
I think I am in love with that girl holding the Blue bird... What is her name? I am a bit confused about the bird of paradise, why are the feathers attached to a wire? Do they actually come out the back of the bird like that or is it a sample of the under plumage. They are training you pretty good. I am soooooo happppyyyyy for you!!!! Bye BBAR!

Wow
Hi Rebecca: Your Mom has sent me links to your blog. They're very interesting and it sounds like you're with a great group of people and that you're having fun! It's a good thing you're Mom wasn't with you when you caught the snake. When you talk about osprey's, Eric's airplane was hit by one and, boy, did it cause a lot of damage. I don't think his partner has flown since he was so spooked. Have a wonderful summer and keep up the good work. Love, Donna

I stumbled upon your blog by accident, but was pleased to see a blog from Ithica, NY! I enjoyed reading about the birds, and the shop with all the chocolate! My blog is looking for travel tips (like ways to help the birds! ;) , photos, etc, to share. If you have the time, check it out at dirty-hippies.blogspot.com, or email us at dirtyhippiesblog@gmail.com. Continued fun on your travels! Heather :)

Hi there from home!
Hi Rebecca, Wow!!! It all looks so interesting. The little bird in your hand was so ugly but so sweet! How are they growing and their mom feeding them OK? Did you buy that chocolate at the market? Are you working this weekend or is there free time? The backgound looks so pretty. It is so nice to be able to share some sense of it with you. Thanks and love, Mama

It is so beautiful there!
Hi there Rebecca! Thanks for the comments and the pictures. It is so beautiful there and I know you love cannoeing! I guess you will be very ready for the Canada part of the project. The buildings look so modern and spacious. Do you spend a lot of time at the libary? Take some pictures of the house where you are staying and of some of the people. It all looks so wonderfull. Ok sweets, thanks for sharing.

Friends rooting for you and the birds
Sounds fabulous! How would you have prepared differently if you knew you'd be doing so much field work? Hope you don't fall out of bed--or if you do, that you roll. Kind of like the birds....

Wegmans
It is just a massive grocery store that has so many types of each kind of food. And it's all organized in sensible sections that are really fun to explore. I hope we go there again in a few days! It would literally take days to shop there going through every aisle. Yes, these comments are public. I love you!!

Hi sweets, it is so wonderful to share you experience. What is so great about that grocery store? Is it far? How often do you need to go there? The scenery looks spectacular. Take lots of pictures. I will e-mail you separately tomorrow as I think this comment is public--right! Love and hugs, Mama
