Hi there..I'm a Motswana living in Ireland for the last 10yrs...Miss those worms, and have often brought some with me for the Irish to sample.."taste like chicken" I'm told..I've just shown this picture to my colleagues..followed by a loud "iiiiiiieeeeeewwwww!!!"

the parthenon
tuesday,my 5th grade class went to the parthenon in nashville's centennial park.we had a great time:)my favorite park of the trip was seeing the statue of athena the goddess of wisdom.i was amazed to see how huge she was.maybe i should have said who i was first.my name is darian newcomb i live in tennessee in a town about an hour south of nashville.the funny thing is that i didnt know what the parthenon was until i went and when i went all i have been thinking about is greek mythology and i want to learn so much more....when i grow up i want to work at the parthenon in nashville as a little tour guide person but if i cant do that i want to be a writer for national geographic.... i just had a thought...i have a lot to work on for the next 9 or 10 years!

I loved reading this! I lived in Rabat for three months studying Arabic and fell in love with the country. Your photos and comments brought back such wonderful memories! I have the same picture of that door in the Kasbah :)

I can't beleive that they are actually going ot go ahead with The Number 1 Ladies' Dectedtive Agency series! I loved the books! and you are brave souls to eat maphane worms .. ech! I miss the African Market and nandos!!! and props for the pic with the motswana santa

strange... i was just rifling for a phone number on the internet and came upon your site... it's strange because i believe i took that photograph of you and tara at the stupa... hmmm... what a curious world we live in... your son was going on to pakistan if i am not mistaken?... and you may have seen me asleep in the garden of dreams... i was in actual fact recovering... well, good luck anyhow... i'm off to cambodia, toodleoo!
