Hi folks this will be a quick email as I am in Wellington now and email is very expensive. Yesterday, Saturday, I did the Tongorera crossing ( not spelt wright) in the national park - apparently it is a rite of passage to see if you are really into NZ - well, let me tell you it is a 17 km (walk ha ha) between two mts that involves circling a volcano and lots and lots of volcano rock - black!!. the first 1/2 of the passage, I was afraid I was going to die and by the 12 km mark I was afraid I wasn't going to die - lets just say, it makes going up Kathadin in Maine a walk in the park however, Fred, the 74 yr old did it so I had
