Compared to some european countries Jordan is not the cleanest, but I don't think its that bad. I've seen lots worse in other countries!
Regarding the toilets: In the hotels I stayed in (and they were quite cheap) it wasn't a real problem, except that some places have squat toilets instead of Western style 'seat' toilets. Takes some getting used to, that's all. And it's cleaner that sitting on a toilet :-)
i want to know about Jordan my boyfriend love to leave in jordan, but my sister when to Jordan for 2 yrs.She told me Jordan is not clean speacialy toilet...is this true ....? ann!
Do i have to worry Dear Ton, still like your storry and the pictures. But your last update is from may the 16th. I am curious as to how you go. ;-) Greetings and have a nice time, Rink

Hi Ton
When I began to read your blog I felt how unlucky I am not being able to visit Siriya. (Well I imaging I can go in but not out...).Anyhow you convinced me not to be sorry. Desert and sand, sand and desert is like home so I donwt miss much.

I really enjoyed your great Aleppo photos and post! I haven't been to the Middle East yet but I would like to. I hear amazing things from other travelers. My blog is looking for travel tips, photos, etc, to share. If you have the time, check it out at dirty-hippies.blogspot.com, or email me at dirtyhippiesblog@gmail.com. Continued fun on your travels!
Heather :)
Syria Entering Syria sounds familiar...
Hope you are doing just fine. Good that you are doing your motorbike to Jordan thing!
Here things are just fine. Our little son is soon 6 months and so much fun, and in July we move to a house of our own. And spring is really nice in Sweden now:-)
Take care on da motorbike!

Hi Ho Ton, this is wonderfull and we envy you for Alepo. Please send more pictures. Explain M. that you are already taken, and also that you have a horrible mother in law, that keeps an eye on your good behaviour.

Erg gaaf tripje! Hi Ton,
Gr, Mark
p.s. je haar zit beter zo.
Cant fınd the bookıng... For some reason I can't find who I booked through anymore. But I checked serveral sıtes, and the prices are all very close, doesn't make much of a difference.
I went with Minoan Lines, for me that was cheaper than Anek.
There are a lot more ferries in the summer than April, so you could have more choices then.
No pee John, the Turkish have better manners than the Scots :-)
And it wasn't pee, but some kind of softdrink... At least, that's what I like to thınk.
Propose island hopping Hi ArtVark,
Sounds like an amazing trip. Hope you keep as posted as I am planning something similar during the Summer.
Do you suggest any websites for ferry tickets?
I have seen www.goferry.gr. They offer online booking and e-tickets at fairly competitive prices.
Let me know and keep us updated!
