St. Petersburg-Hermitage

today we toured the stunning winter palace at the hermitage. then the chorus visited a nursing home and gave another moving performance. the stage was flanked by the russian flag and the flag of the former soviet union. we enjoyed a delicious dinner and a fun evening in the fresh air near the gulf of finland. tomorrow is a big day. concert at the glinka capella and our last dinner on tour.... read more

What a wonderful experience for all aboard the train. There we're no problems at the border as all papers in order. It was a warm and sunny day for sightseeing and in fact the sky is still bright at 10:30 pm as we are typing this. Informal concert for fellow hotel guests ended our first night here.... read more

Hope you are having a wonderful July 4 th. We sure did. We toured Ogre and were treated to an arts and crafts workshop. Lots of creative oportunities. The concert was a huge success and we received astanding ovation during the closing number, Chicago. Tomorrow we are off to Russia. I am not sure of our Internet access but will try and keep posting when I can.... read more

Glorious concert in Riga Dome

All the hours of rehearsal paid off tonight during the performance at the Riga Dome. the choir sounded fabulous in the 800 year old church. We presented our home stay families with bouquets of flowers to express our gratitude for their generosity during our time here in Riga.... read more

We explored Riga with our hosts and had our first joint rehearsal for the concert tomorrow. The girls spent their evening with their host families while the boys and chaperones soaked up the local ambiance, not to mention some French fries and onion rings!
