Great Experience

Coming to China is easy as getting a passport. They need many many English teachers. Many teachers have teaching background but often people come with only a TESOL certificate, which can take as little as a few weeks to complete. If you come to China with Children, and more than one, everyone will look at you in amazement because China has the one child policy and you don't often see people with more than one child. I think the best way to bring your family to China is to get a job at the school you want for your children. This helps you to learn about the school and the staff in an intimate way. You can then get a close up look at the curriculum and what's being taught. We used a supplemental curriculum that followed the academic guidelines of our state. The curriculum was called studyisland.com. This way, we were able to monitor and test science, math, reading and writing and focus on learning Chinese.

I miss you my sister
What a wonderful life you are sharing with our Chinese brothers and sisters. I love you. Life is about seizing opportunities and surely "stepping out on faith." I am not envious but joyful that it's your time and fear did not stop you but "knowledge" pushed you to move forward and seek those "great and wonderful things that God has for you. I see your radiant smile that has always illuminated the presence of God in your life. Give Emeka my love and tell him that this is only the beginning ..... the joy of the Lord is upon us. Luv you.

Angela: This is simply a treat for you and Emeka! I will never question again the way the Lord leads. No doubt that there are some challenges, but I know that the experiences you will get will be very beneficial. The scenery is just beautiful. I would love to see more pictures. I am glad to see you and your son arrived safely. As I requested on many times to be included in your experience and you have included me. I thank you for remembering. This gives me insight as to things we take for granted in the US. I will continue to read and share this with my family. I may even have my children do an educational project with this information. Give my best to your son, safe travel and I will see you when you return.
