Thanks Samuelle! What nice comments! It's so much appreciated getting comments like that. It's hard to satsify everyone but we certainly try our hardest! Thanks again!

cool hi im a 24 peruavian guy. i ve just read your experience in my country and is certainly fascinating .. places like turjillo and lima ... i think you should see the south of peru like Ica which is famous for paracas culture and nazca lines .. im really glad to hear a foreigner talking lika that about my country .. sometimes peruvians dont think like that .. but thanx for visiting my country. good luck
Beach Time Andrew - I was just picturing your car going out to sea! Thank God you didn't have to wait for the guy to eat dinner! I am sitting here reading this and thinking about how much you have changed and become more laid back.....a few years ago (when you were my boss) if you needed something and the person who was able to help you needed to have a TWO HOUR LUNCH - and you had to WAIT - oh my God! You would have STROKED out! See how a beautiful, laid back culture can cure anyone - you are total proof! love you! I am SO proud of you!!!
these dogs don't speak our language I AM LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET ALONG WELL WITH ALL ANIMALS... PEOPLE WHO KNOW ME SAY I 'TALK' TO ANIMALS....EVERYTHING WAS FINE UNTIL I WENT TO SOUTH AMERICA... IN ECUADOR , I ENCOUNTERED MY FIRST DOG,I USED ALL MY NATURAL DOG SPEAK POSTURING AND VOICE ,SHE COULDN'T GIVE A DAM..I DIDN'T GET BIT, BUT I NEVER GOT SUCH A CHILLY RECEPTION.THE NEXT ENCOUNTER WAS WITH A HORSE, I HAVE BEEN 'HORSE WISPERING' AND RIDING 80% OF MY LIFE...I GOT ON AN ECUADORIAN MOUNTAIN HORSE..WHO BEGRUDGINGLY DID AS I REQUESTED.....MY ONLY EXPLANATION IS THEY DON'T SPEAK OUR LANGUAGE...BODY LANGUAGE INCLUDED...NEEDLESS TO SAY TO UNDERSTAND ALL THIS I HAD TO [LIKE I REALLY NEEDED ANOTHER DOG, I HAVE 6 ALREADY] ADOPT A PUPPY FROM ECUADOR AND TAKE HER HOME TO CT. SHE DIDN'T UNDERSTAND ENGLISH OR BODY LANGUAGE. BUT I AM HAPPY TO SAY SHE IS TRILINGAUL NOW....SHE STILL OFTEN SPEAKS HER OWN LANGUAGE..BOXER SPANGLISH. I ENJOYED YOUR SITE. D.
Responding to Health Issues Hola Lorne!
Thanks for your comment on food issues. I am not quite sure who these "advisors" are regarding Costa Rica, but in most areas of the country, including my own (San Ramon, north of San Jose), the water is perfectly safe to drink. I've been drinking tap water from day one and I have not been sick in the slightest. I also have not had any issues eating unpeeled vegetables (when I do in fact eat them!). So, I do not think there is any cause for alarm. Yes, I am not an expert but in the vast majority of CR, the water is just fine and taking normal precautions you would take at home with fruits and vegetables will suffice here.

health issues Could you comment sometime about food hygeine? Travelers to your area are advised to avoid drinking tap water and eating unpeeled vegetables. How do residents deal with this issue?
former guest at your B&B I have thoroughly enjoyed your blog, and in particular your trip to Peru and Ecuador. I want to go to every place that you did! You do a very good job of describing all the places. I especially want to hike up WaynaPicchu. Congrats on making it to the top!
Awesome pics! Great seeing your adventures Andrew. Bill has been reading avidly and anxiously awaiting new info. My parents were at Machu Pichu a year ago and absolutely loved it. Travel safely my friend.
Congratulations Andrew, congratulations on your anniversary in Costa Rica. I'm trying to figure out how to have enough money to retire in 3 years because I, too, took an untraditional step. For me, it was New York and show business back in the 1970's. It made my retirement a little less lucrative, but I wouldn't trade those experiences for the world. I learned more about myself and other people than I could ever have learned in the classroom. Good for you for having the courage to do what you have done.
Wow! Sure sounds like you're having a great time. Your pictures are great. Wish I were there with you! Just remembered I was supposed to send you the link to my friend who lives in Nepal, http://www.weblognepal.com/. Have a wonderful trip and hope to see you soon!
