THEN what happens?? Daisy, I got the bag out when we arrived! I remembered the luggage logo trick, and it popped right outta there. Didn't even need help from strange men on the exit :)

EXPO goodness Amanda,
What an experience. I did not know Expos like this existed on such massive scales. I love the "abandon your plans" public announcement. Sorry it is stifling hot there. It has been cooling down here in Atlanta and hopefully will be nice when you return.
Since I leave in 9 days for France, I may not see you until October! I will try my hand at a Tumblr blog but I can't make any promises about how committed I will be to it. But if I do I will send you the link if your interested in reading about yet another Fehrenbach-Fournier trip to France. I will try to show new things in my blog.
Have fun in Thailand and update your blog with Thai photos!
Chris
Manila Trip Wow.. I love the images you posted here dear author..
My first time in Manila was also great (that was April this year.) I was with my cousin's family and the trip was so amazing..
We've enjoyed so many things in there... I've enjoyed so much time in Mall of Asia...cos I love shopping ManilaOcean Park as well as in Sofitel (where enjoyed watching the bay..)

Thanks Makes you appreciate the USA, doesn't it? I was surprised you didn't include at least one of the Taj Mahal.
But, what you show is more realistic.
Baguio to Manila Interested in visiting the terraced rice fields in Baguio.....Banae(I think). Can I join a tour? If so which company do i join? How does one travel from Manila to Baguio? By air or by coach? which budget airline? which coach as I am more interested in the comfortable coach for tourists and not the local bus. W
Which time of the year is best?
Joan, sorry for the delayed reply. I was there working with a company who arranged all details for me, so unfortunately, I can't provide any help in this area. good luck! Tagaytay was beautiful.
Day Trip from Manila to Tagaytay Please advise on how day trips can be booked travelling from Harbour in Manila. The cost and itinerary also please. Thank you
love the blog Hey Amanda, Cathy shared your blog address with me. I had know idea you were going to Russia. Loved reading the blogs and seeing the pictures. The architecture looks even more amazing then I've heard. Hope all is well. Look forward to reading your next adventure.
update This is Grandma speaking. When I was there in the early 70's, Moscow was still Communist. I would love to see what has changed. One thing I recall (a negative) was that the Gum mall had so little merchandise and so few clothes that the dresses were displayed flat against the wall, side by side. On the positive side, the subways were beautiful beyond belief. We were permitted in the Kremlin too, but only in certain areas. We were very carefully shepherded everywhere. The hotel (tourist hotel) had a woman stationed on every floor, like a guard. One day, I left my room and got on the elevator. Realizing I'd forgotten my camera, I went right back up. When I got off the elevator the "guard" was entering my room. We were told they searched them everytime we weren't around. One day I tried to give a woman some things we had brought as gifts, but she refused with a "nyet." It was nylon hose. I think she was afraid to be seen taking them. I just left them in my seat when I got off the subway. I hope someone enjoyed them.
Sorry I didn't see your post til now! I was travelling alone but I was there for work, so just had pockets of time to try and see things. Manila is great (shopping, meals, hustle-bustle), but for a holiday I would recommend Baguio. It is beautiful weather and gorgeous mountain views. I hear the beaches are incredible, but I was never able to go. have fun!
nice write up! hey, nice write up:) did u travel alone? Am always having this scary feeling and end up not enjoying since at times I travela lone on work. I loved the way you have made up the most of your trip. Is Manila a good holiday destination?
Hilarious Dave your commentary had me in stitches I could just imagine you in that shark cage. I really wondered why you got sick as much as you have been on and in the water. Amanda you ought to write for a living, you do it well. Have a good time. The pictures of the town and thedrive I didn't realize it was that pretty. I guess it's all the pictures you see on TV.
Love, Mom
FAN-TAS-TIC These photos are so beautiful. I can't imagine how beautiful everything is in "real time". Ha. Chuck just sent me the link to the your blog. Now I need to curl up with some wine and go through everything. Really, what a great trip!! I am loving this blog! I have to go to bed now since I have to work in the morning. Jealous? Thought so.
