Funny, I have the same sentiments moving in the same area, everything is so different and new.
Look forward to more anecdotes, let's see how you views evolve in time.
Good luck!

iit was so beautiful....but i was terrified!!!! Hee hee, i actually think the craziest experience while i was @ the White Beach, it was so awesome, but then i ended up getting bomb rushed by VENDORS!!!! they were so nice and sweet but they were so scary, speaking of culture shock, Filipinos have the deepest morality i have ever encountered. I went snorkeling for the first time and OMG!!!! i was soooo scared to get into the water with those fish!!!! LMAO!! ya so what im a sissy....he he.... But traveled from Mansfield, ohio USA to the Philippines, my first time ever being on an plane, over 22 hour flight with layovers....AHHH!!! but i actually stayed in Makati City then traveled to PUerto Galera, another place everyone should check out is Boracay.... it looks quiet beautiful, wish i could have checked it out but i left to soon, it was definetly an experience of a lifetime!!!! =)

Surprising Its quite surprising to see good comments on treasures of bolinao. my purpose for going to bolinao was to have a great vacation, to relax due to the fact that there were alot of problems going on. when we arrived at treasures of bolinao, everything seemed quite nice. the view was great the temperature was cool and so were the rooms. when we arrived, it was already after lunch. so we decided to take a walk after we checked out the rooms it was still good. when the sun set, we decided to have some dinner. we ordered some bbq pancit rice iced tea and soft drinks. while waiting for our food we decided to sing. 30 minutes has passed and i felt my stomach grumbling. an hour passed and still no food. a few minutes later it came. only the food (no drinks). we were finished eating and still NO DRINKS! we waited for our iced tea and when some of our company started complaining, they told us that it was out of stack. it was a bad night so far and they promised they will do better the next day. guess what? the next day it was even worse.MUCH WORSE! they already reserved some tables for us which was already prepared with some coffee and hot choco. it was meant to be for us and when we asked them where to sit, they told us some place else since another guest was already there. we ordered and again we had 2 wait for another 2 hours!!all of us were hungry. our food came and everything was wrong. we waited for our hot choco and they told us that they still had to buy outside the resort!!!it was dissapointing. so we decided to move to another resort(punt riviera) where we were able to relax better. their secret was that they only had one cook! no assitants so he had to chop and cook and put on the plate. they said that almost all of the cooks walked out. i cannot manage to live in this kind of place. no matter how much money i have i will NEVER reccomend treasures of bolinao. i would rather go to punta riviera..i love bolinao's place but not TREASURES OF BOLINAO specifically.
As a token of appreciation, We thank Treasures of Bolinao for a well rounded service. This place is truely and uncomparably beutiful. The beach is clean and owesome beauty that inbedded in our mind. Highly recommeded, just visit their web www.treasuresofbolinao.com
We love this place and we will soon be back again. Tony of Unilever
Hi Kababayan! “Was supposed to go to pagsanjan and came across your blogs. Read a couple of them and learned a lot. Was saddened though by the latest entry you made when i found out that like many people I know, you have left the country already. I bet a lot of people learned from your blogs and trips. Hopefully you will still continue doing them. I wish you and Val all the best there in the US. Perhaps what saddens me most is that a person (unlike most people I know who prefers to travel abroad) who loves this country and promotes it very much is now away. I believe though that everything happens for a reason. May He continue to shower you and Val's life with blessings upon blessings!”- Adrian sent last Nov. 19
Hi Adrian!
Thanks for taking time to read my blog. It was so timely that you sent it on my birthday. I share the same sentiment about how sad it is that we have to leave the Philippines. But as I have said in my article, we need to open our horizon and experience different opportunities. Don’t worry as of date. My love for my country grows more and more each day. I further come to realize how the Philippines is blessed in so many ways. My wife and I look forward visiting home next year. Thanks for your comment. This has inspired me to write my next blog. More power to you. God bless!
Villacarolina beach resort in Bolinao if you are going to Bolinao. i suggest you stay at Villacarolina. the accomodation prices are just right. the owners (ate carol and jan) will make you feel at home. they have ppols, hammock at jacuzzi . super bait ng owners and you will not believe they are hands on talga sa lahat ng guest nila. ate carol will surely take care of all your needs. the best part is.. if you get hungry anytimie, they will cook for you. go and visit enchanted cave too and patar beach
Hi Aluel, It’s nice to hear from you. Thanks for your description of the Mindoro Sling. I have read the rest of your delightful accounts of your exploits and travel in the Philippines. You can really write! Thanks for advertising the land of our birth in your site. I wish you were able to visit Agno and write also about the birthplace of your grandpa and that remote little town of Agno in Luzon with its famous Sabangan Beach and Umbrella Rocks in the far flung west of Pangasinan province. It is here in Agno that your grandpa and my mother together with their four siblings first saw the light of day and spent their early years. Circumstances and external influence made most of them and their children seek homes in the big city and beyond. Each went their separate ways and that is why many of us haven’t even seen each other. I regret that when I was with your dad in Manila in 2006 there was no time for us to get introduced to each other. Have you relocated permanently in the USA with your wife? You have a cousin Roderick Kagaoan (son of the late Nicholas Navarrete Kagaoan) who came recently to Toronto with his young wife and son and they are now Canadian landed immigrants. It’s nice to have close relatives living near me in Canada. We are planning to have a grand re-union of the clan in Florida, USA so keep in touch.

Mindoro Sling Concoction Ey Tito Paul! Thank you for taking time to visit my site. My work is humbled by your work at http://www.agno.pangasinan.info/(About Pangasinan and my grandfather) I have a lot to learn from your detailed and well crafted writing skills. I am amazed on how you devoted your time to make your family tree and history of your birthplace. I’m a jealous not having a province of my own, instead I adopted that of my lolo’s and coincidentally my wife’s mother (Milagros Labayen-Atienza) province, Alaminos. The absence of one may be the reason I love to travel so much of our regions.
You asked about the Mindoro Sling? It has a base liquor of Rhum with Four seasons concoction (pineapple, orange, mango and grenadine). The best Four Seaon’s drink I have tasted are those from Kamayan restaurant or Cabalen where it is made with fresh fruits. The one’s found in Puerto Galera are seldom prepared that way no thanks to ready to drink Del Monte Four season canned drink. Though it complements it better due to the lack of pulp its smoother that way. Just remember when visiting Puerto Galera expect it to be rustic, its still like a baby boracay but at least it’s way lot cheaper.
Gee, I loved it. thanks for posting these photos. I was looking for the best place to stay in tagaytay and thank God I found about The Boutique. It is thrilling to know that there are such rooms as "I LoVE", "I desire", etc. I can't wait to get there. Although the rates are a bit high, i think it's worth it. :) Thanks for the tips and nice photos. :)
