Keep that chin Hey Alice, keep that chin up and don't let them win... Follow your heart.. I know you're weary, but you can always rest a while and still do whatever you like. There is no reason you can't do anything you want. The world is your oyster. Don't stop fighting sweetie. Put a smile on that face and just keep on truckin'.
Hi Alice,
i was looking at your journal after i sent you the photos. I think its great to be sad and to question everything and to feel outside (not great for you now, but great anyway). Alot of people feel this way, and only these people ever real create radical change and really help the world... so just act freely and bravely and... i don t know, sorry for my voyeuristic blog reading... --Dana from puerto escondido, who was with her mom.
what do you feel like doing? I'm siting at a friends place beilng rude right now, gettin gon the bus to banff tonight at 1230 from vancouver to meet the flight ouot of calgary monday, keep writing and follow your heart!
I'm listening too. I spent my winter alone, looking for someone to travel to Puerto with. I found no one and am alone for Easter. You're not the only lonely one.
hey you! i'm paying attention! i don't feel the same as you do but i've been there before and somehow climbed out of that abysmal place of despair to find the light of day and the light of life. If I was there with you i'd give you the biggest hug. Just know that i care...enjoy the sun. I'll be in ottawa in 2 weeks. my time here is almost up. i hope you find your way cause only you can help yourself, look deep inside and ask what is stopping you or whatever question you may have and the answer will come in the morning. you have to let go of the past and not worry about the future for it to work. you probably already know that, but sometimes we forget. I gotta go now so take it easy and be here now...
cheer up hi alice,
i get your blogs in my email box so i'm listening and i'm on the same wavelength as you right just grumpy about everything, but today seeing the longer sunlight hours really brightened things up as well as getting your cheer up email. Anyway, just know that i'm an email away and you could probably come back to canada or buy a van or something. he;; you can even write a book! how many women do what you do? I'm sufe there's a market for it, especialy since you write how you're feeling! that's teh juice, althuough i'm sorry that you're feeling down, just remember stefano loves you...
as u are not sure where to go next, have you considered going to central Mexico? places like Guanajuato (Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, Dolores) and Michoacan (Morelia, Janitzio, Patzcuaro are beautiful. In Guanajuato there are good spanish language schools. If you are feeling guilty about the poverty in Chiapas, in Guatemala the panorama is not better, actually its worse, but still its a lovely country. It would say its more ethnic than Chiapas. Safe travels.
Hi - February 15th, 2007 Just to let you know - I am printing the journals for your Mom and she is enjoying travelling through your eyes. Having just returned from Mexico - I now realize just how much I missed - a week is never enough - please continue to enchant us with your excellent journals.
Happy Valentines Day Hi Alice,
Happy V-Day ...
How hot is it? It's current 9 degrees here in Buffalo, with a -15 wind chill. Supposed to get up to 20 by Friday ... that will be a Heat Wave!
Take care,
Pam
happiness i just read all of your journals up to Feb13th, i was expecting to receive them in my email cause i subscribed but never got them. It sounds like you're quite happy and flying high on a free spirit wind and i'm quite happy for you. May the sun shine on you in dark times...stefano
excellent wiritng! Hi Alice,
that's some great writing, much better than mine. All i write about is about me, not really what i see. How's Alice? Enjoying your trip, I'm sure. See you on the flipside...your victoria friend Stefano
getting around in Cancun I've been living iin the CUN for 15 years, and am partner in an art gallery in Plaza La Isla. Stop by if you have any questions for how to get around. There IS culture and initellect here....it only might take more than a week to find it all....in the Centro you should hit El Pabilo, a small coffe shop/gallery in the Xbalamque hotel.
AC/DC Well, I'm sure the security was lots of fun, wish I could have been there for that. The museums sound very interesting and I know you enjoyed them. Good luck in Mexico and have fun, but be careful too.
have a good trip! HI ALice,
I hope you have a great trip and we cross paths again some day. Enjoy the freedom and learn as much as you can, take your time and be happy! See you on the flipside...S
