Thanks.
Interesting article on how volatile those Italians are. I wonder whether they have always been this volatile.
Horsemeat? Al, I hope that horse you had wasn't one of the famous Sicily Horses who time has come. I think your ready for Survivor and one of their food challenges... Pictures are great! Ciao
Ciao Cinque Terre is beautiful, we enjoyed all the photos,( noticed all the laundry out the windows), and the blog is really packed with interseting information. Love the rinky dink bridge! Thanks, I know that was special for me, lol... This IES program is phenomenal. Everyone here says, Ciao! The dinners now seem to be more delicious, and all this pastry too sounds so yummy, Tarzanna didn't give us a two second break, she had us going at a military pace through towns. We think this time around you can really enjoy so much more, you and Laura. We can't wait to see all your extra photos and films, miss you, take care of yourself...kiss Laura for us... la Famiglia Sahyoun
Team Spirit Al, what's really in the coffee? How can I get some? These are the descendants of the crowds that cheered in the Collesum when it was up and running.
Greece vs. Rome Ok, first I checked the photos, they are amazing. It doesn't matter that know one else understand me but I know you will, I am sure you could hear me, get away from the edge!!! No ATV!!! watch the cliff and OMG!!! Lol...Love the action shot of Laura fleeing from the room with bees. I was shocked at the poor hospitality, and lack of courtesy you received in Greece. Glad George was wonderful, he should be their Ambassador. Thank goodness for the owner of the restaurant too. I am so glad you toughed it out, I know how burnt you got there. Sight seeing there looks grueling, thank God it wasn't with extreme heat as well. Mi Manchi, Ciao
Horsemeat really? My Grandfather grew squash just like that, even bigger when he lived here in America! The food looks soooo yummy. The trees were very Lord of The Ring like, caught you in the middle, no one can enjoy anything the way you do, everytime I see you, I know you will be hanging on or off something by tooth and nail, be it mountain top, cliff edge, tree, ruins, balcony. I remember you darting like a flash left and right on our family trip together. I thought I would have a stroke, I was worried you fall of the edge of something. Looking forward towards a return family trip to Italy.
Ciao! Mio Figlio Alfred, coming back to Rome must be like coming back home. This trip together to Sicily, with Laura, seemed refreshing and new! This is a must see! Maybe our next trip back to Italy, we will soak up all these sites too. The photos are outstanding, great material to work with!!! I enjoyed reading your blog, thanks for sharing. Enjoy Ciao Laura Mom(2 1/2)
Thanks for all the great pictures! Al - I have caught up on your trip by reading everything in two sessions on line. Don't get enough computer time in this house! I love being able to see all these places through your eyes. The pictures are fantastic. Keep enjoying - see you when you get back. Love, Aunt Teri and Uncle Vic
Hello!! Wow!! it very nice to experience holy week in Rome specially in Vatican City, I want to experience like this. Is anybody here that could give me an idea how to acquired reservations of hotel around Vatican next Holy week, a reservation and accommodation offer like hostels in Madrid and Madrid apartments in Spain during holy weeks and summers. Thanks for posting this pictures and this blog.
Ciao I am glad you are making the most of this experience abroad. Praha was a great choice!!! The churches are so gorgeous, especially the detail inside the Saint Nicholas Church and Saint Vitus's Cathedral too. Great luck for Laura, to see the Dali exhibit. About Italians, remember we talk with are hands, that explains why all the pulling, pushing and clapping, lol
Fountains Alfred, wow, we want to visit there, hopefully this trip. I was thinking germs from the drinking fountain, did you make a bet....lol....You and Laura look great, God Bless you both, hope to see you soon. Lots of Love #3
Florence Al, I believe you remembered the streets from two years ago, and I bet you now memorized new favorite ones. I always counted on your great sense of navagation to get us back to the hotel after we ventured around town. Have you bumped into Tarzanna with her umbrella yet? It must be so liberating not having to follow the tour guide. I remember towards the end all of you couldn't take the headsets anymore, especially when we went through the Uffizi Gallery, now you are free and dancing in the streets....lol....and stopping at every store along the way, and hopefully stopping at every Gelateria!!! Your blog is funny and interesting, love the photos, it's great to see you and Laura, and Jordan too. What do think, can we make the steps up the dome?
Group trip It seems you had it all to yourselves.......one of my favorites is you and Laura on the pillars again ...... your photos are really professional, you are an artist with the lense....wish we were there........love the Street and the Bridge...Laura in the Theater too, may I have enlargements for our home, and the Me in a well...find any coins in there?
Rome wasn't built in a day...... It's so overwhelming, so breathtakingly beautiful, everywhere you go. Theres so much to do and see. You both look so well, God Bless! More videos, more photos , please....... I especially love the Bocca della Verita photos.
