Hello Great to hear your news. Told Serena that you'd had a monkey up your jumper at breakfast today and she looked at me as if I (as opposed to you) was mad. Can't believe what you're getting up to. Then I suddenly remembered that you wanted to be a vet at one point and loved animals - other than those poor pet guinea pigs. We're all well. Daddy retired on 30 April. Then flew to Qatar on 1 May for the week. Spent the next week in Bangkok and the followingone in Qatar again. Worse than when he was working. He got so fed up with the Qataris that he told them he couldn't commit to them any longer. He hadn't heard a thing until this morning. Chaotic message that he thinks means that he's off to Doha tomorrow. They really are the limit! Have spent the last few weekends at Pigeon. Serena seems to love swimming as much as you did. Hugh much lazier in the pool. Not keen on kicking or using his arms! Victoria Wyer is spending the week at Herbert Smith this week.
Much love

Sparkly shoes Don't think my sparkly pink espadrilles would enjoy a trip into the rain forest. Emelda Marcos reigns supreme. Kisses galore (and from Hugh). Serena xxx
Once again you have not failed to interest me with your blog. You are obviously having such great experiences out there. It's too amazing and cool. We miss having you around though...:(

Gone missing HELP! Someone has taken Alexandra's place and written the blog for her this week. I know she would NEVER eat a maggot, especially if it hadn't been washed and she didn't know its parents. So, whoever you are, please may my daughter have her chair in the internet cafe back next week?
harr i wanted to say 'how come you're not screaming' then saw that obv cheese said that.. but seriously!!
wow it sounds all amazing, i love the one you just did - 'normally we use a canoe with holes in to cross the the river we swim in, but its disintegrating so now we're building a bridge..' its like you belong there...!!
Learning lots from you!!! I keep having to "googlise" all your words like "caiman" (very cute), etc. as well as a vinegar soaked banana (yuck!)...take care alex!
hey alex! i actually cannot beleive you saw real tarantulas and snakes..how did you not faint and scream and stuff?? and i love how you are actually seeing the things we had to randomly write about for that year 8 geog project haha. hope you're having a wicked time, it all sounds so unreal! xxxx
Oh damn I left a comment on the post before this one. I didn't know this was the latest. Anyway shall say something different this time..
I don't like cockroaches. You can get them deep fried in street stalls over here. I'm scared of the dead ones too.

Hi you!
I have finally caught up with all your blogging. These computers are so old and slow it makes me sad.
I know this is a bit behind but it seems like you had an absolutely amazing time in Peru! You won't ever forget the time you spent there no doubt.
I hope the next chapter of your adventures is just as great. I'm sure it will be.
Stay safe and don't get too near any scary insects. They like the taste of little people.

In the jungle, the mighty jungle... Those poor ants, i couldn't lug a piano anywhere, let alone across Texas!!!! It's hard to imagine you in the rainforest - how does it feel to have fulfilled a life long dream? Lots of love and luck for the next stages, Seed Bead xxxxxx
The world is your oyster Hi Alexandra
Following with fascination your wonderful and humorous reports. Have a great time whatever you do, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity!
Take great care!
With love

Peru sounds great! Hi Alexandra,
Glad to hear you're having such a good time out there. David tells me you had some altitude sickness earlier in the trip but as you seem to be running up Incan stones and boogying until the wee smallies I assume that has passed.
The blog is a great idea and it will be useful when you get back because it will remind you of the sequence of events. Lottie found when she got back from Japan that because the time had gone by so quickly she was glad of her diaries and photos to aid the memory. Perhaps you can print it out and add your pictures to it somehow.
Right, better sign off anyway, I'm supposed to be working!
Happy travels and lots of love,
Matt.
Hello my dear!! Just read all of your comments in one go....very entertaining I must say =) I am glad to hear that you are no longer fealing ill and seem to be enjoying yourself (and developing an addiction to alpaca goodies lol). Take care and I look forward to reading more!! Lots of love, hugs and kisses being sent your way xxxxxxxxx
the hills are alive i feel the music!!! :-) good to know that even out there you are able to maintain your crazy shopping habits...why don't you just go the full way and buy a live alpaca? touring Peru sounds very exciting, don't worry that you haven't had long enough, you have so many other exciting things to do now! lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Finally... Hello my little odd girl,
See I have finally read your blog and am commenting. Of course I didn't forget about you.
I was very entertained by all that I have read. You should perhaps consider writing travel books and have your own tv show and turn into a female Palin.
It seems like you are having a cool time but I think that you are doing too much shopping. Stop it for your own good hah.
