Brilliant! Obviously the U S of A was no let-down after your marathon trip. I was in San Fran in 1978 and again in '79 on (sort-of) business trips, where the seafood was indeed amazing (Agadir, in Morocco, comes a respectable second).
Tequila sunrises and a Bloody Mary (with celery!) on the boat out to Alcatraz also come to mind, as does an unintended dip in the Sacramento river (I fell In after we had ridden the rapids!).
A daft fact to end on:
If Ursula had been born in California, at the moment she was actually born in Bath, her birthday would surely have been the 4th of July (like Andrew's), as it was 7.07 am in Bath!
Have a good trip home.
See you soon!
XOXOXOX
Dad
Keep 'em coming! Hi Guys! We’ve finally got round to writing a reply. Can’t tell you how jealous we are reading about all of your adventures around the world. We can’t believe some of the things you have done - so brave! Your pictures look fantastic and you’ll have them and your memories forever. Looking forward to reading more about your exciting adventures they brighten up our day! Lots of love Amber and Peter xx
Diving, sliding, scary warriors... Hello!
The description of free-fall almost had me diving - drinks cabinet - even though it's only 10am!
Instead I'm about to dive off to the swimming pool for my daily burst of athleticism. We've had such torrential rain lately that you could almost swim on our balcony!
In the UK they've got typical Wimbledon weather, with serious floods in the North and TIM carrying GB's hopes on his shoulders yet again in a five-setter which was rain-interrupted and stopped thru bad light at 9.20pm.
yesterday - at 5-5 in the final set ! Hope it clears up in the next month.
Look forward to your Fiji and USA adventures and to seeing you soon!
Love
Dad
Better late than never! Hi guys, I'm sorry for being so rubbish and not emailing before! I have loved your updates though they are great and help the long days at work pass quicker! It sounds like you are having an amazing time - I think I go a little bit greener with envy every time I hear from you!
Exx
Getting more jealous with each blog! Hi ho you two!
Glad to see that you are STILL having a great time! Life in NL is trogging along as normal. Weather has been crappy but at least the climate means I don't need to worry about big bugs!
We won't be able to meet up with you in Vancouver 'cos Louis' school holidays don't start until the 20th July.... but we are booked to go to Vancouver on the 9th August... can't wait!
Louis entered his first competitive football tournament on Saturday AND got put in the 1st team... they won every game with ease and took home the cup. So he is now convinced he is going to be the next Beckham!
Have fun in NZ - step on a Hobbit for me... Kate
yo, yo yo Hey you two - dozza dowling here!!! Looks like you are having a really crap trip and missing us all at home too much. Oh well - it will be over soon !! Actually - looks bloody amazing and brings back loads of memories. Also wanted to let you know that Celia and Paul are in NZ at the mo - her mobile is 07971902730 (english mobile) so could be worth a text if you fancy meeting up. Lots of love Dx
Duuuuuddddeeeeesssssssss!!! Awesome action dudes, shame you have to leave the waves behind. Truely an inspiration for our trip to Woolacombe this weekend - hopefully we won't get mauled by sharks there. Looks like it has finally got a bit warmer too! Hope you are enjoying lots of Fush and Chups in NZ.
Fanks for the tips Already been through Sydney once (in Coffs now) but we're going through there again on our way to NZ so will follow up on the tips then!XX
Better weather in Luxembourg!?! Blimey it really sounds like it is hotter in Lux than it is in Auz - we haven't seen 30 degrees since Perth! We're in Coffs Harbour now and it's warmer here, but there have been loadsa thunder and lightening storms which are pretty scary!!!
Where's your boards Looking forward to seeing some shots of your mini-mals + action shots of you falling off them. And at least poo weather = large waves.
Amazing! Especially the helicopter bit! 3500 miles of driving to go!
Meanwhile we're enjoying some sunny weather (though not too warm yet), and planning our trip to England in July for Robert's wedding.
We're going by ferry from Dunkerque (with the car), where we'll stay one night at a nice little hotel we used on our trip in 2005.
Hope to swim in the sea (but not across the channel!).
Keep on truckin' - and blogging!
Love
Dad, Sophie.

good to see you're stil alive!
Hi, we were just starting to wonder if you'd been abducted by mutated
outback rednecks and were right now locked up in a cellar sawing your own feet off ......
But no, sounds like you're having a great time;)
How was Uluru?
By the way: gpt your card, louis loves it.
40m high in the trees? wow!
WA Ahh, guys am remembering WA very well. I loved Margaret River too, and went surfing at the river mouth - shortly after I found out it's where the sharks congregate for lunch! I did about two steps on the Gloucester Tree and chickened out - well done al!
Great to hear from you
xx
how high! OOh looks ace guys. I went up to the twin towers and was quite nervous!
You must be in Oz right now. I stayed with my cousin in Perth, so no recommendations on hostels, but will dig up my info on WA cos sure I have some there. You defo must go to Margaret River. Will you be heading North of Perth?
Keep updating us, it looks fantastic!
xx
Just back from Krabi/Railey ourselves Hi guys, just got back from our honeymoon in Thailand and we loved Phi Phi and Railey too! Think we may have been at the same bar as you in Railey judging by pictures - and I have the same 'drunk with an orchid behind my ear' picture too! So jealous you're still out there. Our bags are still in Bangkok though!! Have fun! Caroline
Glad you enjoyed it Hi guys, Looks like you are having a wicked time and it is nice to be reminded of some of the cool places we visited. And best of all you are approaching surf time - hope you are practising your pop-ups every night.
Wow, had an extreme case of deja vu reading this! We went to KL and Singapore on our honeymoon too! Didn't get to throw any peanut shells either!
