Wow what a weekend! I am utterly exhausted after that! Managed to mission it from aunt and uncles place in Cambridgeshire to London on the train equipped with large bag. That was a success in itself. Then managed to navigate my way to shepherds bush and stay with Wes who was an excellent host! He even cooked me a tasty dinner! Thanks Wes! Friday afternoon was spent wandering round the markets and streets at shepherds bush. Once Wes got back we got some drinks and headed across to a nearby flat where there was a whole heap of kiwis living. Apparently shepherds bush is the place to be! Soon after we took the tube into central London and had wine on the banks of the Thames! More people joined and we then headed off to see ... read more

Ok so I'm struggling with this traveling thing. Don't get me wrong Im loving the adventures and I am seeing some fantastic and mind blowing things but it is so freaking exhausting! I'm confused with how some people travel and manage to look gorgeous the entire time. Like i am actually legitimitally confused! I'm like how do you do that? Seriously?! By the end of a day spent wandering round somewhere I start to resemble a middle aged version of myself and I'm like totally ready for bed after dinner. Also my handbag is getting extremely heavy, filled with all the things I like to carry around. Maybe I am taking too much stuff from place to place but I use it all! Cameras, phone, wallet, umbrella, cardigan or jumper, iPad and lippy. Is this crazy? ... read more

It had been a few days since I had acted really touristy so I decided to head into Cambridge city to rectify this. It's not a particularly large city from what I could see, in fact I was surprised at how close some things are smooshed in together. Especially the colleges. They are all practically on top of each other. So it was like nine in the morning when I spotted a shopping mall. What's a girl to do? Explore of course! To be fair I hadn't really had time so far to check out the fashion so this was the day. Oh my lord I was blown away! The clothes over here are to die for! Not to mention the shoes and bags... Such range... Such style.... But urrrgh such prices. That's the problem with ... read more

So being sick while in a new country reaaaally sucks. I'm torn with wanting to go out adventuring and just stay in bed getting better. Luckily I am in Littleport and there isn't much to do so chilling out has been a rather easy decision for most of the time. Over the last few days staying here with my aunt and uncle I have seen and done some really cool things that are only really made possible with them. The highlight of my Thursday was actually a really creepy supernatural experience... I met my first fen witch on Thursday while taking the dog for a walk in search of the local shops. She was rather scary to be honest. I had been walking for a good forty minutes in what I thought was the right way ... read more

Yay!!!!!!!! My suitcase turned up in the dead of night last night! I cannot even express my excitement at this! The god of lost luggage came through! Material girl much? Meh so be it. So I practically skipped into town today and decided to hop on a bus tour that went round all of London. This turned out to be a really good move as i now feel like I know the layout a lot better. Also I realized I can only be a tourist for so long in this city before it will look even sillier and I will be forced to assimilate myself into the culture so I best make the most of it! I met some really cool auzzy dudes on the bus too and learned heaps of great facts from the commentator. ... read more

In my tired haze last night I was freezing cold at my shitty hostel and grabbed The blanket of an apparently unoccupied bed. Murphy's law hit back and the person turned up early into the morning. I realized the awkward situation and made a bad decision.. I feigned sleep. However I couldn't actually sleep cause I felt so guilty so when I thought she was asleep on her blanketless bed I sneakingly tried to return it to her without giving myself away. I will never know if she was aware of the situation but I have learned two things from this. The first being Do NOT steal other peoples blankets and the second, don't stay in a shitty hostel to begin with! I had to get up super early as my bag was supposed to be ... read more

I've always wanted to live in England and the UK and I've always wanted to travel around Europe. Still, I can't believe that I actually put those plans into action and am now here! It's kinda surreal but also very cool. Looking out the window of the airplane and seeing an endless stretch of white fluffy clouds and no horizon in sight I couldn't help the excitement creeping in. This to me represented the endless stretch of possibilities and opportunities for this next chapter in my life. Not surprisingly there were tears shed at the airport when farewelling my amazing family but since then mostly my trip has been a smooth and exciting one. Mostly... I flew with Malaysian air to kuala lumpur and then onto heathrow in London. Pretty impressed with the service and the ... read more
