Dance away We know we cannot get you away from a dance line. How about the kids? It is good to dance after the powerful vists of Soweto. I am sure you are going through a range of emotions. Keep writing my dear..I see a powerful article coming to publication soon. It puts into perspective all the issues we are dealing with in the States.
Can't wait to hear about your trip! Hi Susan, Caroline and Courtland. I can't wait to hear about your trip. During the 70s I participated in protests on Apartheid and my roommate senior year at Fisk was from South Africa. I even applied for a job working for the S Af Consulate back cin 1982-1983 for the heck of it! I knew they were not going to hire me, but I just HAD to apply.
I hope you all have a safe holiday and have lots of fun. Don't forget to take plenty of pictures and perhaps we will have an IEWAD meeting where you can share your experiences with us. I'm glad your family will all be together to spend time with each other. Our lives are so hectic nowadays, so any time we can enjoy our families is a true blessing!
God bless and take care.
Marlys
Interesting first impressions. You should keep a journal (if you can) to record how it feels to be black foreigners in South Africa. Looking forward to pictures.
