I have had enough of this typical English weather, so I have decided to pack my backpack and go see the world... Well parts of it anyway!
I'll think of you all wearing your hats and scarves while I'm sunning myself on a gorgeous white sand beach looking out onto the crystal clear seas and making lots of wonderful memories :)
Lots of love xx

Another experience with the travelling! The Aussie girls last night weren't wrong!! We were picked up from our hotel at 6.30am, were taken to the pier to get our boat to mainland Thailand, which was ok. We then got 3 different minibuses to Krabi to get another boat to Phi Phi. The first minibus kicked us off because they were blasting Thai music through the speakers while people were trying to sleep & some people complained. So they pulled up at the side of the road & told us all to get off!! So we had to wait for another one and then were dropped off at another random place while we waited for a third! Once in Phi Phi, we were prepared to do a 15min walk with our backpacks to get to our accommodation, ... read more

Today started off a bit stressful, we had all our tickets for everything on a bit of paper & we were about to board the boat when they told us we needed to exchange the bit of paper for tickets! We hadn't had to do that before! Was a mega rush & then the boat left!! But we got straight onto another boat and ended up beating the previous one to Koh Samui! Then when we got there, we had to wait best part of half hr for our taxi to turn up! Was all worth the stress tho once we got to our hotel... Crystal Bay Resort. It's gorgeous! We have 2 big a/c rooms & the beach is right infront of us with stunning views. We arrived about 1pm so after dumping our bags ... read more

Well the train was certainly an experience not to be forgotten! We went from Nakhon Pathom to Surattahni. It was meant to be 10hrs but took 12hrs! We also all got covered in bedmite bites! Yay! The bed was actually more comfortable than the one I slept in at Kitti Raft, which was a result. Once we'd gotten off the train, there were about 20 of us all crammed into the tiniest of buses, with all of our bags for about 2hrs!! It was then a 2hr boat ride to Koh Phangan where we are staying for 5 nights at the Jamaica Inn. They're basic bungalows right on the beach. The views are stunning, but still cold showers!! All of us have got mega sunburnt on the boat, but we were sitting in the shade!! Doh! ... read more

We had a really early pick-up from our hotel to head off to Kanchanaburi, which is where all our activities start :) We had our first experience of a hole in the floor for a toilet on the way! We stopped off at a service station and it wasn't pretty! The first stop for our activities was a Second World War Memorial where there were headstones for people from England, Australia, New Zealand, America & Holland. So sad reading the messages on the headstones. We then headed to a War Museum where we walked the bridge over the River Kwai. So scary! Really big rickety bridge and the only space to walk was about a ft in width plank. When there's loads of people going in both directions, it's quite scary trying to dodge eachother! A ... read more

What a great start to a fantastic trip.... I go to the boarding gate to fly to Bangkok to be told they've upgraded me to Premium Economy! Result!! They were very apologetic haha. Flight was good, had my own tv, free champagne, extensive menu, a large pillow and a reclining seat with about 2ft legroom and about 8inches of extra space in my seat too! I don't think I could ever fly economy again! Once landing in Bangkok and having picked up my backpack , I was greeted by a nutty woman who was from my transfer! Not exactly what you want after an 11hr flight!! I met a nice Canadian girl, Christina, who lives in Australia on my transfer,. She was staying in the room next door to me at our hotel too (Viengtai Hotel)! ... read more
