I am a Software Quality Engineer by profession but if I were to choose another career path, I am likely a tour guide! I love exploring the world either by car, by foot or by bicycle. I am born and raised in the Philippines and had explored a good portion of this beautiful archipelago. My first opportunity to go out of my country was after university graduation where my first job was in Japan. This kindled my “business with pleasure” travels which I continue to practice and enjoy to date.
My favorite trip thus far was in August 2017 which was a short mission trip in Cochabamba, Bolivia. Part of the mission was to plaster roofs and ceilings of houses in remote village of Aiquile to prevent the infestations of bugs that caused ‘Chagas’ disease. The mission entailed traveling in deserted highlands and hard labor in repairing houses. I was the “Water Girl” or “Aguatera” (hence the profile pic), responsible for fetching water in pails from a water source outside the house; This water is mixed with the plaster mixture which we then stick in the walls and ceilings. The encounter with the poor families was enlightening and enriching experience. When you read my blog on this mission trip, you will understand what I mean.
I am grateful that I have the opportunity to travel and pursue adventurous escapades around the world. I always enjoy nature. It is my stark reminder of how great an architect is God. Meeting interesting people on my journeys is also an enriching experience. I hope that through this travel blog that I can inspire your travels!
